Launcher Unable to Launch WoW 32-bit

I recently did a clean uninstall and re-install of HB. When I launched HB Launcher, it goes un-responsive.

I thought it might be C++ or .NET, so I repaired both.... no change.

I re- downloaded HB installer > clean un-install > re-boot > install ..... no change.

I figured I try manually launching WoW and HB and see if I could pinpoint the failure.

Looks like WoW is only launching 64-bit.

In my WoW directory I do have two executables and both are launching x64 (indicated by the logon screen (Release x64))

I deleted both and ran the WoW repair utility but no change.

Before I rip WoW completely out, has anyone experience this?

Hi, Hired,

Just delete your wow-64.exe file. Do not open the WoW launcher after that. If you do, you will need to re-delete a new copy of the wow-64.exe file.

UPDATE

I did find a post that showed how to launch 32-bit WoW automatically from Blizzard launcher, however the executable from the WoW directory (C:\Program Files (x86)\World of Warcraft) still launches x64...

UPDATE

No luck with the above fix.

I can manually start x86 WoW and HB separtely but the launcher gets stuck (tried re-setting the executable path with no luck).

Looks like a re-install of WoW is the solution.

I will update post if the reinstall does not fix but I am pretty sure it will.

Still no fix after clean un-install of WoW and re-install.

I can still launch x86 WoW and HB separately.

Guess that will have to be my workaround till I figure out why the launcher does not seem to want to pull the exe's

Anyone know the Windows components used by the launcher. Maybe I need to re-install

pick 32 bit via Bnet launcher settings

and run Hb exe instead


if you cant make it eun under 32 bit,repair your wow installation
