Just saw my banned toons being logged into

Blizzard does not need to log into an account to remove gold, achievements or anything in the inventory et cetera. They can do that directly in their databases.

My personal theory is that blizzard is ''Buying'' WoW tokens with gold from the perma banned accounts.

logging onto an account they own
to take gold that they own
to buy tokens that they own
from the AH that they own

and you started your post with: if they can make money, why not?

that makes perfect sense.

The post you responded to must probably be the stupidest thing I have ever read in the history of the internet.

Anyone with half a brain knows that blizzard is buying the majority of the WoW tokens "listed", and by buying I mean automatically exchanging cash for gold.
I'm 100% fine with them selling gold, it's their game and all. What I'm not fine with is that they're so fucking sneaky in the way they're doing it. Dishonest if you ask me. Honesty would be what EVE Online does, in which you purchase a PLEX (wowtoken) then get it in your inventory and its up to you how and when you sell it, and more importantly you know to whom you are selling it.

One could argue that this already existed with the wow TCG cards which you can get BoE mounts from, but really that's like comparing apples and oranges. I wouldnt be surprised if wow gold selling was a major part of the revenue they earn from WoW in the next Q report. Will be interesting to inspect those numbers.

God listening to you guys.... Thanks for confirming once again I'm einstein. This thread makes my brain explode. THIS is what blizzard did to the genre.

Because "Player.modify.gold #22310" for their gold needs would be cheating right?
They have to log in each and every account with 20K or more and buy tokens manually to keep us from burning holes in our coin purses! Thanks Bliz!

Goodness me I hope they don't remove those 7 heirlooms from my DK I was leveling. And oh no, all those other items that were a mix of greens and blues! That would be aweful! I'd have to right click all those items back into my inventory, go to the AH and spend 500G-600G. The horror!

I just chatted with an GM and he said me that they wont touch the Gold or the items that are on the characters. You see ghosts.

chatted?

ticket?
phone call?
in the jacuzzi with a couple hookers?

curious,

forgive me good, good sir. but you can imagine our doubts.

did this chat take place in-game?

and how did you get an actual gm to answer your ticket? it seems so many people are just getting generic responses. you must be very lucky, sir.

i was curious because of the format of the actual text. it looks....odd. so i googled samples of gm chats.
