***Notice of Account Closure***

Account Name: WOW1

Reason for Closure: Terms of Use Violation -- Exploitative Activity: Abuse of the Economy

This account was closed because one or more characters were identified exchanging, or contributing to the exchange of, in-game property (items or gold) for "real-world" currency. This exchange process negatively impacts the World of Warcraft game environment by detracting from the value of the in-game economy.

Even if this is the result of account sharing, the account owner can still be held responsible for the penalty because of the impact it had on the game environment.

We've found the above behavior is many times directly related to groups responsible for compromising World of Warcraft accounts; we take these issues very seriously. To better understand our position against exploitative activity and the risks involved, please review this article: Blizzard Support

The exploitative activity that took place on this account violates the World of Warcraft Terms of Use. We ask you take a moment to review these terms at Blizzard Entertainment: Blizzard Legal Documentation. Note that additional Terms of Use violations may result in more severe actions against this account, up to and including permanent closure.

If you believe your account was compromised, please submit an in-game petition or fill the contact email form at http://us.blizzard.com/support/webform.xml?locale=en_US. Our support staff will assist you as soon as possible. If you are unable to access your account due to the password being changed, please visit our Login Support site here: https://us.battle.net/account/support/password-reset.html

For any disputes of this action or further information on Exploitive Activity, please visit the Exploitative Activity FAQ and contact page here: Blizzard Support

It's about time I got banned! I'm really not surprised at all lol. I was EXPECTING it ever since the first time I sold gold. I put in an appeal, hopefully they reverse it. If not, oh well, no biggie! ;)

Here is my appeal letter (I never reported my account compromised or has it ever been compromised, though for some reason I got sent password reset emails from Blizzard in the past and GM replies):

"Uhhh why did you guys ban me. I've reported 2 times my account was compromised and changed password. I even cancelled my subscription a couple days ago to take a break hoping whoever is using my account will go away. This really frustrates me as I have reported to you guys my accounts been compromised, not only once, but twice, and you guys investigate and say nothing is missing- everything is ok... How is nothing missing when ALL my gold is gone, makes me wonder if you guys even did a thourough investigation.

This is the response I got from a GM on 6/26/2011 after reporting my compromised account:

Greetings,

Thank you for contacting the Game Master Department. We have reviewed our logs of your account. The account does not appear to have been accessed by an unauthorized user, and no damage was detected to any of your characters. Fortunately, it appears as though your account has been unharmed!

If you intended to use the webform to simply retrieve your account's password, you can also retrieve it from this page:

https://us.battle.net/account/support/password-reset.html

Once there, use the "I think I forgot my password…" option on the left-hand side. This page can also be accessed by clicking "Can't log in?" from the Battle.net login prompt. Once you provide your registered email address, your name, and the answer to your secret question, a temporary password will be sent to your registered email address, which you can use to log in to your account and choose a new, permanent, password.

If there is something that was missed or still needs to be done, you can click the ‘I still have a problem’ button, and we’ll be notified. Thanks!

So yeah, I feel I have been wrongly accused, and should GET MY DAMN ACCOUNT BACK ASAP. If you will not reverse this wrongful ban, please refund the remainder of my subscription money, as I will never play World of Warcraft again, seeing how in competent Customer Support is..."

I don't want to cause havoc, but a ban wave was just sent out in my PERSONAL opinion.

Nah, i'm fine. Goldsellers are getting banned, maybe :P Casual botters, nah we are fine.

like i said earlier warden sucks so they do it by hand so it will slow down.

If warden was working you guys would see ALOT MORE BANS.

It all depends of player reports and a GM looking into your activity. How many RL humans can bot an account 18 hours a day for X months?

I suspected that maybe there might be a push via Blizz since they have filed against HB/Boss.

Now I don't' know if this means anything. No I haven't gotten banned. But today, just for the heck of it, I went bot crazy using GB2 on my two accounts. Singly mind you. I would bot for awhile (about an hour or two), and out of the blue, Wow would shut down! First I thought maybe I hadn't set the bot time in the settings, so I took a look and I had. I scratched my head on it a bit, relogged into wow, started it all back up and BAM! Down wow went again! So now I'm thinking: maybe it was because I was still using the previous ver. of HB (the one right before Honorbuddy_2.0.0.5097) I went ahead and dled the new one, wiped the old one complety away, and did a new fresh install. Started it all up again, and after about 30 min this time, wow shut down. Okay this was weird, so I closed down wow all the way, brought up my other account and proceeded again. About an hour went by and down wow went again. Both my accounts are on the same realm with toons. So now I'm thinking, maybe it's some GM checking, cuz this has NEVER happened b4 and no one else in my house was getting shut down. But they don't bot at all. I'm the bad boy in the house. lol..Ok with this thought, I shut everything down, ran through and cleaned out all my wow folders of logs and whatnot, went and sat down for an hour and went back to check my accounts, expecting I may have been banned. But nope, I wasn't. Whew! But I didn't bot the rest of the day, though I did work on my toons and again it happend 3 more times, but in about 7 hours of being on my accounts while I was legit playing. Welp now I've got the paranoid bug going in me, so I'm gonna be laying low and not botting for awhile. Having come here and have seen the new posts of pep getting banned of late, It sure fuels my paranoid bug too.

But I have to now agree that maybe Blizz is watching closer.

Yeah yeah I know, Buy a bot and your account is ALWAYS in jepordy. It's a gamble like everything else in life is. But since I didn't get banned this time, if what I suspect is true. Seems to me laying low a lil while can't hurt anything. I see no sense in pushing.

Good luck everyone.

There is no ban wave in commence, so for that stop spreading things, if it was everyone would be banned and be posting here. Also one player gets reported the other doesn't it just comes down to luck and the way of playing.
Then you sold gold which in all cases should be done from a mule account as has been know for ages because selling accs get banned straight away!

Keep this all in mind for your other accs if you have any.

banwave my ass, nothing is happening

banned ones are being reported, investigated and banned.

warden detects shit, dont be so afraid.

you never was less vulnerable then you are now... chickens

even tough webhond's comment is a bit harsh it's the truth. there is no ban wave, stop acting like there is any.

You sold gold, its the reason you got banned.
learn from the mistake, rise and repeat.

7)How many auctions per day did you have?:
300+

Thats what got you.

not true, some people even got 1000 auctions.

I as merchant have well about 1000 each day on several characters without ban.

His reason is selling gold, if you sell gold from your main acc directly it's like going to blizzards HQ knock on there door and say, hi I'm a goldseller could you please get rid of my acc asap?
Always sell gold trough a other worthless account.

Must have skimmed past that part.

Why are you guys flaming me lol? If you read post #1, you would know I was well aware of what I was getting myself into, and was expecting to be banned. I never stated there was a ban wave or suggested it in any way.

banned after moving 700k gold, yeah, banwave my arse. I bet they didn't even look at anything but the gold transactions and banned off of that, not even noticing you were botting.

Just a tip, acting like a douchebag to customer service will not get you unbanned. Being firm but fair will.

Are you sure about that ? Because I just got my account back using the "acting like a douchebag" method.

"Due to a second thorough review of the circumstances involved in this account action, we have made the decision to modify the previously communicated penalty. This additional review took into consideration a variety of factors including the history and standing of this account. Please understand that should another incident arise in the future, it is possible that a different outcome will be reached."

Hey everyone, since I got my account back, should I try to open a ticket and ask for my gold back (the gold I sold)? Since Blizzard reversed the ban because I told em my account was compromised during that time. I don't use those ip changer software either, always log in from same computer. I'm glad Blizzard sent me those random password reset notices out of no where, cause I got to use that against them LOL!

Edit: Just submitted a ticket, going to try to double up on the gold. Worth a try I guess.

If you want to keep your account I wouldn't push the gold thing. Bot more and sell more if the account isn't that important to you. 715k gold sold sounds like you made some profit on the account.
