Just bought lifetime membership, and I can't use it. Says: stopped working

I have solved the issue, I will now make a step to step guide on how I got it to work, for people who end up in my situation
1: go into control panel, uninstall programs
2: Delete your old exilebuddy
3: uninstall all your previous c++ programs + uninstall Microsoft.net framework
4: download buddywizard at http://www.thebuddyforum.com/demonb...installation-errors-try-demonbuddywizard.html
5: Run buddywizard until it says complete, " let it do it's thing, it can take a while"
6: download exilebuddy again, and now it should work.

I had 4.0, but i just updated to the 4.5.1 and its still not working. This is what the error looks like now

From what I can read on stack overflow, this error is related to either assemblies not being loaded at launch or not being found.

Also, do you have the Visual C++ 2012 redistributable?
Download Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2012 Update 4 from Official Microsoft Download Center


If the above didn't work for you either, I would try redownloading the files, putting into a different folder, and restarting the computer. Also, I wouldn't change any file names or putting special characters into filenames because that has sometimes thrown a wrench into my C# coding.

I downloaded and restarted and the error is still the same one. Any other ideas?

Besides launching it as administrator and disabling the anti-virus, I am fresh out of ideas.

WERInternalMetadata.xml is somewhat related to Nvidia cards/drivers.

Have the latest Nvidia drivers? or ATI/AMD drivers?

I tried this clean startup method, and it didn't work, I also have updated drivers.
I downloaded the buddywizard, to make sure I had the correct updates. That didn't work either.
Gonna try downgrading the net framework to see if that works.

It could be that you also have corrupted files. Try loading Windows 7 on your VM with the game on the VM, and see if it runs then. That could mean new install of windows for you.
