1) Does anyone have any clue of an ETA for the new HonorBuddy patch ? Currently not botting because it's really glitchy and not really working.. pulling mobs it's not supposed to, standing afk for a while etc.

2) Also, I was curious I've browsed the forums and see people talking about good plugin(s) etc.. I'm kinda curious as to if there is things to use to make my botting experience better, and good suggestions for a newcomer for botting? Would love the help.

3) How well does multi-botting work? I'd like to buy another Key to run more than one bot, but I just wasn't sure how well it worked.

Answers to these questions would be awesome.

honorbuddy patches are pushed when they feel like it. you can always download the last version and run it without updating.

browse the plugin section. pick up anything that looks interesting. id recommend only picking up one plugin at a time just in case there is a conflict you will know exactly what plugin caused it.

popular plugins are MrItemRemover2 for keeping your bags clean and ZapRecorder for recording hotspots for custom grinding/gatherbuddy profiles.

multibotting works fine. you will need a separate session for each instance you want to run simultaneously. there are many botbases/plugins designed to run your multiple sessions in a grouped environment. for example, 5 man dungeon grind teams, tank-dps or healer-dps teams to shorten queue times. pocket healers for grinding mobs on timeless and so on.

Thanks I really appreciate that, and you mean recording your own hotspots so the bot will only go to where you recorded? that'd be nice with the mishap of right now the scripts are going way out of the way.

most profiles start with a set of hotspots. to get an idea of what a hotspot is. open the developer tab on your honorbuddy interface. another gui will open with a few panes. top left is your position. click the refresh icon and it will generate a hotspot at your present location. this is the way you would get a single hotspot saying i want to be right here /arrow points to the spot.

second pane down is the npc identifier pane. target an npc and click refresh. hb will generate a file on that particular npc, whether it be a vendor or mob you want to kill. clicking 'copy xml' will generate a string in the hb main window that you can copy paste to a profile you are working on, identifying a vendor/repair you want to include in your profile. for a mob you want to kill, you need to target that mob, click refresh, locate the faction id. you will want to enter this number in between the faction tags in your profile. you may enter more than one faction id with spaces between them.

here is a skinning profile i been tweeking the last couple weeks. poke around in there and try to identify the sections ive talked about above.

now, you can manually record hotspots using the developers tab, but most of us like to use the ZapRecorder plugin found here on the forums. it allows you to 'record' your path much like a macro recorder program will record key clicks and mouse movement. you click start recording, run your path for a grinding profile, fly your path for a gatherbuddy profile. when you get to your stopping point, click 'stop recording'. save the file in a handy folder you can find easily. you can use this file as a starting point, or you can use this blank grinding profile found here on the forums. thanks kick for the blank grinder.

go to the buddystore tab up top of the forums to find a handy profile pack provided by the good peeps here at the forums. its in the free section. dig around in there for many good starter profiles in the 'default' folder.
