jIRC - test version

well im working on now just got a few problems to fix then i will release it

This is a very bad idea as Blizzard could easily just ban all people logged into the IRC server whose name resembles that format, as most likely there is only one "Jay" at level 46.
 
Uh, no, they dont. blizzard do not sit on millions of different irc servers waiting for someone to link their bot to IRC.

well first of all how is blizzard going to know what irc server you are connected to and who says it has to be the realname of the character because irc dont suppore ????? or any other letters in that context :) as a nickname

When I turn it on, I get this message filling my box:

yeah thats the new version but theres a few things i commited in it which i shouldnt have which caused compiling problems so i removed the link :) but i'l fix it today and repost it :) but since theres some problems with the threads atm i'm changing it abit atm so will post when theres a fully working version of it

He lost me at "...fix it today and repost it" :-)

Later edit: Found a small bug. The character ' is not escaped and generates a LUA error when using the !guild / !whisper command to send a message with a ' (single quote) in it.

only problem is i'v got too much on in real life i'v had no time at all to fix anything yet
 
does anyone have an idiots guide to getting this setup? This would be ideal to monitor my Wow bot while working with an IRC client on my phone.

at the moment it's not working as intended so untill then i wouldnt bother downloading it 2.0.5 will fix all the problems so i'm just gonna see what i can do possibly by friday we could see a new version that is working as intended

Nice so when are you going to release it? That last post was awhile ago...
I would love to be able to respond... Especially from my phone through text message.
 
no one else getting a 403 - Forbidden error when downloading? =[ I really was looking forward to this!
