I've been just scammed by an owner of HB forums account, be ware!

I can't believe it that people are so low to scam for just 30 bucks...
Posting this thread so people know about this forum profile.

So I got a PM from a guy with nickname M****, with this text:

I was sure that he wont be able to offer that much better then the site owners that I sell to or to my private buyers, players, that buy at a little bit better price.

I first googled his skype name to check if there are any reports for scams on the internet - there were none. This is the second time I get scammed. The first time was 3 weeks ago. For 170$. Totally my fault. I didn't google the skype name, there were a lot of threads about him on the internet, and I shouldn't ve sold 170$ of worth but I was in a hurry, totally my fault.

I went first with the trade because he have 9 months, almost 10, old account on the forums. While I have a month old. I was thinking to send half the gold and then ask for money then send the other half, but... You know, blind fate.

I was really protective so I am sure that the guy doesn't just try to get on what server am I playing and report me or something.

Then we agreed on a price of the gold to trade, and start with baby steps

Then I gave him some free advices, for starting a reseller business, because I was on that end few months back.

(you can see the photoshop selection, I was covering my skype name etc.)

Here I start logging in with my char to check how much gold I got

He gave me some code to in-game to type to him on Skype - everything looked so real / legit :/

He knows how much exactly I got in my bank because I made him member with withdraw up to 51k, so he can withdraw some random number over 50k

After "please hold on" he deleted/blocked me on skype. I clicked on "Resend contact request" button so he can receive my message in case he didn't block me but just deleted me as contact.

This is not a rage, qq, or whatever thread. I just want to try to help people out to not get scammed like I just did.
Even if you got a PM from a guy with old account here - this doesn't mean he isn't a scamer.
The 0 posts raised a flag on me, but I was like well, there are people who don't post that much, just read.

By the screens you can see he was looking pretty real. That's why he got me.

too long to read.. but still: he had 0 posts.. how could you possibly trust someone with no posts?
now I do understand why there're so many scammers around..

The guy has a statistic IP address in The Netherlands, using it since 6 Months here in our forums, so i assume if you want to do a police report, you will get to him.

Question is, is he even 18 or some 12yo, and do you want to fill a report in The Netherlands. If you do, i can forward you his IP Address.

I had to edit Tweety's original post to keep it compliant with the forum rules.

This is a very good example of why we disallow and swat down WTB/WTS/WTT threads of any type. The unscrupulous flock to botting forums to take advantage of those in our Community?particularly those new to botting. Many people happy with their newfound spoils are looking to convert them to cash. Such people are ripe for the picking from the unscrupulous.

I checked the accused's post count, and it is zero. This means his initial WTB post was removed per the forum rules, but apparently not quick enough for a few people to see it. I relayed this particular event to the senior moderators, and it seems Bossland decided it was ban-worthy. That doesn't mean the scammer won't try this again under a different identity.


Tweety, we're very sorry you got taken?your attitude about it is really good. For the readers, please learn from Tweety's life lesson.

Please do no business with people offering WTB/WTS/WTT you find on these forums. I'm certain there are many lurking scammers just waiting to pounce.
