You choose to support exilebuddy because it along with any of the other buddy bots have always been a superior product to the competition. The removal of lifetime keys was due to a lack of users supporting exilebuddy vs the number of updates required for the bot due to the nature of the game.. Yes it may have been an oversight on their behalf in the beginning, but that does not change the fact it can be hard to stay motivated to continue updating a project when you haven't seen a paycheck from it in years.
Pushedx and the buddy team clearly take pride in their work, as can be seen by the constant updates they have provided since day 1. Anyone who takes pride in their work does not want to see people getting banned constantly by using their product.. They shut down the auth servers to save people from themselves. Your choice to use another bot was simply a foolish one that is out of their control.
In addition to that, you can say all that you would like that adding a warning at startup would solve the problem, but I can guarantee you without a doubt the ban section will be full of people complaining they were sold an unsafe product.
Have you forgotten what happened with Honorbuddy? People knew 110% using Honorbuddy would get you banned last going off, it was known it was detected but they allowed users to use it at their own risk. Even today on other sections in the forums people complain about the fact they "continued selling honorbuddy knowing it was detected"
At the end of the day they did what they felt was best for the users and the future of the bot, either patiently wait for them to make their decision as to how they would like to continue, or ignore their warnings and go use one of the competitors bots that clearly do not give a shit whether their users get banned or not, as long as they make a dollar.
First of all i chose to support exilebuddy because yes in terms of efficiency it was better than anything else available publicly. The removal of lifetime keys was something that in anything that has the notion "professional conduct" is downright insulting and unconceivable without fair warning, or compensation. An "oversight" is a huge understatement and whatever the reason for it, they should have thought about this at the start of the project, not after people had started using it. Regardless,
I'm not posting here because of my erased lifetime keys, I've made my peace with this long ago.
Speaking personally here, but you of all people should not even come close to phrases like "taking pride in their work", we have an entire discord that can attest to how proud you are of "your work", so please don't comment on this, or well do... but it won't be taken seriously by anyone who is aware of your shenanigans in this community

.
Saving people from themselves, in the botting world, is like telling people "Hey, if you extend your hand into those flames, your hand will burn, and it will hurt, and once it's burned the only thing you can do is get a new hand". Also my choice to use another bot was a foolish one to you, this is what you classify it as, but it isn't foolish to me and I'm sure pretty much everyone around here? I have lifetime keys that don't cost anything, a game that is also free to play and for 6 days I've used both without a ban, and even if a ban comes, look at the market prices and tell me who's foolish and why? Because I chose to make a profit while other people are looking at a forum with 0 information?
Regarding the warning, it was just a solution I proposed, that seemed easy to implement and that would give fair notice to people so that they would get some first hand information from the developers that things are really hairy and there is very high risk associated with botting at this time particularly - and in my book, if you went ahead and botted anyway and got banned for it, that would be on you. Personally I think it's on you anyway even if you don't get warned, because if you cheat and get busted, that's it and this is the case anywhere. I've lost countless accounts and have never cried over it and just moved on after each and every ban I've had in all my years of botting.
However, I would personally be open to other solutions, like buying new keys just for this, it's my money I choose to spend it, or just personally requesting access to the auth server and so on, there's many ways botting could be enabled JUST for those who are willing to take the risk.
Regarding honorbuddy and the people complaining about the bans, they can complain, it's their right, but they were told and they saw the banwaves, and decided to bot anyway, then they got banned and they whine? Well they can whine until the end of time in my book, if you see what's going on but decide to go ahead and get your hands dirty anyway, you don't get to complain you got screwed afterwards. It's like me running through a minefield and then crying I lost my legs becuase of it, so really...
I am "patiently" waiting for them to make their decision as to how they would like to continue, most of us are, and we're all being civilized about it. But at the same time, I have also ignored their warnings and botting with zero investment really and just making pure profit (and I'm not the only one, one of the many "foolish" people) . But the bigger point is that it's been a week and we want some information on what is being discussed and what are the things considered. And we'd like to be included in this discussion as we are the biggest participant here, we are the community, we use it, we fund the entire project.
I'd even settle for a, "we don't know, the bot is in indefinite downtime", but people around here have more or less built around the bot, and if we have to move on, we will move on, it's not the first time we've done it and it probably won't be the last, but some common courtesy would go along way to communicating with us, what's going on, and what's being considered at least.
