[ItemRules2] Gnillers Super-Tight Loot Rules

Gniller,

Using the latest v.1.2.3., thank-you for making life easier!

Question, do your rules specify ilvl?
I cannot for the life of me get the bot to pick-up items under ilvl63.
I have already told Trinity to accept 60+ in the pickup section under settings, but no change.

It's my understanding that ilvl really doesn't matter anymore
so I wanted to widen to items the bot combs through...

What's your thoughts on this Gniller?

Cheers,
Stealth

Pickups are handled by my pickup.dis, which indeed overwrites any Trinity settings. As for the theory there may be some loosening coming soon, as i stated in one of my earlier posts today however it remains a hard call what is "best".

For some items itemlevel "should" not matter, for others i does. Weapons for example have base DPS based on item level, meaning ilvl63 remains minimum as changes are low enough as they are. Other items should drop affixes based on mob level, meaning a ring should be fine ilvl 58. However maximum amount of affixes may differ (this changed so frequently in patches that i am not fully sure here).

BoA craftable slots feel like "only the best should even be bothered to keep", some slots i completely choose to ignore as rares which i feel like hasn't changed even though indentifying has increased in speed. "spending less time on trash is still time wasted, just less".

The real value is in legendaries at the moment, as it has been for a while. They have always been kept at decent value chances and still are, this won't be changed until blizzard releases itemization updates.

Well, you get the point :) there may be coming some updates on this point but the conclusion may also be not to change it at all. It is definitely being taken into consideration!

how do i use this item rule i unzip it to my rules but how do i make it work with the bot? i try and change the item rules but it wont work. Thanks

The post below explains it pretty well until I've got some spare time to create a proper installation guide :)

It's simple just search by yourself next time (i use the "[ ]" for tabs) :) so you go to Trinity config then [Items] and [Pick up] you'll see choose item rules type then you select File based Script rules.
After that you switch in [Item Rules] you select Custom RTFM and finally you'll choose your Gnillers Loot Rules folder after dezip.

That's all, maybe you'll need to restart DB.

Pickup rules modified for 1.0.8 in beta, gloves and jewelry are now picked up ilvl 58+. Other stuff remains the same :)

As usual beta versions run a couple of hours (usually 24-48) before posted to ensure validity of the files :)

If i missed anything feel free to inform me about this of course!

When will you make this? ;)

Coming soon(tm), no ETA as of yet :)

It is not really on the top of my priority list as it is really not that complicated to find out by yourself :) optimization of loot rules has my top priority.

Shouldn't take me that long to make but keep in mind i released this project completely for free and i currently don't have "that much" free time :)

GNILLERCONFIG at 170 gives you trash
150 gives you items worth 500k+ 50% of the time, 50% is under 500k
About to test 140 on the newest update, will let it run for a few days and report back.

I can confirm this.

140 gives u also a lot of trash, but a bit less than 150. I might go to 130 in the end, to have some items worthy ~100m sporadically...

Hey, I'm new to custom loot rules, could you explain what you mean by this 140/130? Where do you configure this? I have also noticed that with these loot rules im getting worthless items that are being kept and was under the impression that it only kept 100m items.

go -> rare.dis -> read text -> change the value of "@GNILLERCONFIG := 100"

My rare.dis is already set to 100, but I should probably specify that it wasn't keeping trash 500k rares, its keeping 500k legendaries. Wondering what I have to tweak to make it 100+ mil for legendaries.

I've set GNILLERCONFIG to 150 and yet I just saw it trying to sell a 4.5cc 185str mempo, is this what it's supposed to do?

Helms and off-hands currently don't have support for GNILLERCONFIG yet, so for now this would be correct. It is on the planning however :)

Wait, the best/easiest selling item in the game isn't supported yet?

It's not supported by @GNILLERCONFIG as all heads and off-hands. But just very best mempo it will stash as you can see here in legendary.dis: ""Legendary" && [NAME] == "Mempo of Twilight" # ([INTVIT] > 400 || [STRVIT] > 350 || [DEXVIT] > 350) || (([INTVIT] > 300 || [STRVIT] > 250 || [DEXVIT] > 250) && ([CRIT%] > 0 || [PICKRAD] > 0)) || [CRIT%] = 6 // "
Just delete "[CRIT%] = 6" and it will stash all mempos with good stats and CC or Pickup radius. :P

That would actually make is stop picking up 6% crit mempos, instead of making it pickup every mempo :p

Anyway, perhaps i've got some time over the weekend to do some theory-crafting on head calculations. The thing is i don't just want to add them to @GNILLERMSD as i feel value is estimated differently and the theory should be "right" before releasing such a calculation. Once the head calculation is there, @GNILLERCONFIG is just a small extra which will most likely be implemented in the same version :)

I expect the head calculation to end up something like (MAXSTAT+VIT*0.8+ALLRES*2+BONUSARMOR*0.2+SOCKET*"Gem value")*1+CRIT%/6*PICKUP/30, will do proper theory-crafting when I've got some time :) perhaps i can push this to the weekend.

In that case my mistake. Great you clarify it. :)
