how to obtain an item ID?

i have a problem when my bot uses a slow flying mount.

i want him to use fast one.

i need to write him which mount to use.

currently he is using 32240 which is snowy gryphon.

how to get a number for my swift red gryphon?????

doesnt matter which one you use, they are all as fast as your fastest mount.

Just google the mount you want to use. Then find the wowhead link. eg:

Swift Red Gryphon - Spell - World of Warcraft

Then use the number in the link, in this case, 32289

there's a difference between the item id and spell id when it comes to your mount.

when you go buy a mount from a vendor, its an item, that item basically has a action that says "Learn Spell 20310 then remove the item" so that mount icon your clicking on to summon your mount, isn't that item, your clicking a spell, just like you would with frost-bolt or Arcane Intellect or whatever, and so when your looking up your Mount id you need to make sure that your looking up the "Spell ID" not the "ItemID" that teaches you the spell.
