issue with key

i bought a key (the unlimited one) like a year ago give or take and i went to use it today and it says that the key has been expired.

Lifetime keys no longer exist. This product was taken down because there was not enough revenue to support it. The product was brought back to life really as a "test" to see if a monthly subscription model could sustain the cost of keeping EB alive. So far it is. I believe with monthly fees they said this bot will be around for at least another year? Maybe longer, really just depends on the sales go. So long as there is enough subscriptions, this bot will stay alive. As soon as the subs no longer cover the costs of maintaining the bot, this will be shut down again

so people who bought the key are just kinda screwed out of it now? The only other game i play that has a demon buddy is diablo 3 which i already own the lifetime bot for.
