Is this a good Idea or useless?

So I was thinking of leveling a few characters up before I started farming on my botting account, but I was wondering if this idea was either stupid or legitimate.

I wanted to minimize risk even though im just going to be questing or bg leveling, so I thought I would make another account. Upgrade it. and level my characters on this account and after all of them were 85 or 90 (3 of them) then Xfer them to my main account. In order to do that it needs to have my same name on the botting account as well. If my botting account gets banned will they ban my main account as well since I have the same IP and last name? And if I do transfer them and the botting account gets banned after the fact when im farming or something, will the transferring of characters give them the leeway to go ahead and ban my main account as well?

I wasn't sure if anyone did this as well or it was a waste of time. Just wanted to see if there was any input.

Technically they shouldn't ban your main account since it hadn't had a bot running anything on it.
To reason that they could, is that the toon you transferred was obtaining levels/such with the bot.

They could if they wanted, but normally don't.
They'll normally just ban the account that was "known" to have been botting and just forget about your others.

It's not a bad idea, but it's kinda expensive if you're doing it only to get more high-lvl toons.
It's a pretty safe way tho.
