Is there a way to lower D3 memory usage?

Hi Guys,
Can you share some opinion on how to lower D3 memory usage?
Currently the memory usage is around 1.1G-1.2G per instance after running one hour or so.

I've minimized the video setting and modified some settings in D3Prefs.txt like:
DisplayModeBitDepth "16"
HardwareClass "1"
MipBias "1.000000"

But it turned out it only lower the CPU and video card usage.
The memory usage is still at 1.1-1.2G.

If you have any idea, please share with us.

DisplayModeBitDepth "16" -> This setting does nothing, game will still default to 32 bits
HardwareClass "1" -> Correct
MipBias "1.000000" -> Totally wrong, it should be 9.999000 (can't go 9.999999, game will default back to 1.000000)

Warning: MipBias can cause your display driver to freeze up. Worse case scenario, it's one of the 2 settings that might brick your older GFX cards.

More expensive alternative: Buy Innerspace to lower your mem usage.
