is the mesh server down?

would love some info from the dev's on this subject, cause it's been down a long time now...

Check the other bots forums and see if anything is being said there. They share server space for mesh data for at least a couple of the bots... So if it is down for BW it is probably down for at least one of the others.
 
You can use this website I made to check if there are issues with the Nav Server and not just you.

This website just sends a simple request for each Planet. These routes are built up from the Hops you see.


Should a planet not be loaded or have errors, I would presume the Message would say so.

If the Planet is working as intended, the message should just say Partial Path: False or Partial Path: True.

If you see anything such as could not get Path or Planet not loaded yet - You know something is dodgy with that planet. Maybe ask an Admin to check it out.

 
Sneakyman: does that cover both empire and republic planets? Even if same planet there are 2 seperate for each on some.
Also, if every one used this site would it cause more strain on the nav server, causing more problems?
Just curious.

he used my planetid's.xml file, so yes it includes the 2 planets that have 2 different sets of meshes (taris empire, taris republic. balmorra empire, balmorra republic)

The initial design of the nav is flawed with BuddyWing anyway IMO. I'm not a professional or anything but the BuddyWing HAMMERS. _HAMMERS_ the Nav server when it doesn't respond with something, the Nav Server is contacted by all Buddywing Clients pretty much constantly, so just refreshing my status page every 20minutes or so or if its being used by people on the forum, it shouldn't cause any problems. But i just released it, so we shall see ;D
 
Whenever it's intentional down time, due to us updating the server or making a few changes to the host, I'll always post it up on my Twitter.
 
toon is not moving at all out of a sudden,
even if i walk him to another place or do some queststeps by hand,
further getting an endless loop in the logs telling me this (or similar, if i do the next step per hand):

means the mesh/navigation servers are not working?!

so mesh server is fuckin up for more than a month now every here and there and there is no steady fix planned?

or is it just unannounced and uncommented server maintaining?
 
i did the last updated he posted was 3 days prior to the server probs....

anyway we are waiting for the patch update, which is announced for today?s evening,
as always fast service, if they get the mesh servers fixed aswell then it would be awesome.
