is paypal flagged on banned account?

my main got banned in the first ban wave, just wondering if it's good idea to link that paypal account to new account or is that flagged? getting another paypal account and phone # is a pain.

i used the same paypal on my main + DH sark botter, the DH got banned and main didnt, just recently put another mule account under the same paypal...

I think that's a yes for several people here. Too lazy to dig up their posts.

Here's what they experienced:
- New account with the same Paypal account gets banned within 72 hours unconditionally (regardless whether they played or bot)
- If it's a digital purchase, Blizzard refunds you via PayPal.
- For physical purchase, it's 100% confiscation. Zilch refunds.

used paypal on my original main to buy/sell items on RMAH it was botted, got banned in the huge banwave a few weeks back.

new main linked to same paypal, same name and details etc and have brought/sold multiple items on RMAH and botted on it doing inferno champ farming, no ban yet been going strong for a few weeks.

Of course, you haven't "heard anyone having such issues", you can't read the forums with your ears, can you?

There are actually other similar cases that I remembered reading them but I don't have time to read through another >20 pages of search results.

Forgive me if this is pretty n00b, as I've never been banned and only have one account that I sell RMAH on, but can't you just add more emails to Paypal and use those? I seem to remember them allowing you to add up to 8, and you can expose different emails to different places, such as more than one bnet account, all headed to the same bank account. Or can they extract more information than just your email that would somehow identify them as the same Paypal account?

First off no need to be rude to me. second i remember reading about the issue you talked about. But i only knew of once instance of anyone saying that happens. Since you brouht it up i thought it was you. Sorry for the missunderstanding. but i dont think it has anything to do with his account being banned. there is more to his story. My accounts got banned i bought a new account attached it to same paypal and no problems no charge backs and that seems to be the norm. the way you explained it what you said would happen every time.

I apologize for the sarcasm but it was more like an unavoidable, automatic, natural, defensive response to parry away accusations which blemishes my reputation or implies that I'm lying. I will attempt to reduce such outbursts in future.

Just to correct you, I have placed a sample of our statements below, do note that I mentioned "several people" which is not definite and just an estimation. Several doesn't equate to "all and every time".

While you mention "the only person" and "not seen one other person" which is definite like for example saying that "All Birds who have wings can fly".

So in which case, you have committed the exact mistake that you have stated in "what you said would happen every time"

theres been a lot of back and forth in this thread with a lot of information that could be accurate and could not be accurate along with a lot of assumptions people have made from information they gathered that could and could not be correct.

so here is whats going to happen, im going to lock this thread, because at current there's no way the people who are deep in discussion in this thread could stop going back and forth and get on the same page, and thats only going to lead to more people trolling and me (or someone else) having to get involved later to break up an even more involved thread.

no one knows how blizzard deals with things we can only guess. so i would go with what the 2nd poster said, to get a new one since blizzard does have access to that information, and if their computers aren't linked to find it, then a human who has access to that information could easily link your old activities back to you. obviously that's not what you want so the more new stuff you can get for your new account the better off you'll be.
