Is it wrong to report stupid botters?

I am fairly new to HB but so far I live it. I made 5k the first two days I ran it. I dony bot frequently and I only post max ten stack of any given item at a time. Well now I can't sell anything for a decent price.. I went to post sumthing on the AH the other day and when I looked at the new prices they were a third of what I was used to. And I looked further and saw that one guy had irrefutable everyone and had three pages of the same mat on the AH. I then tried to sell my mats via trade chat and a few guys started talking about that guy and how he must be a bot. Should I warn him or report or ignore?

Thanks tony that's what I figured. At first I wanted to cuz they was stealing my profit but then I realized I would kinda be a hypocrit in that situation. I was thinking maybe I should message him and give him a warning that others are talking. And thus supporting the community and maybe he'd back off a Lil Haha. Also there is the possibility of makeing a deal with him and maybe increasing my own income Haha.

I've done this before lol, lot's of gold and about 3-5 pages of my own maybe more.

burst botting, you bot 3 days straight and then post all of it when it's on a high and then take a 7 day break.

I was thinking maybe I would offer to buy all the ore he farms for a smaller fee and then I can use it for JC and what not. That way he has a 100% sell rate and I can use it to make a little bit more so we both win.

not only do you both win but you'll also have to do less bot farming...hence no heat on you....i've done this for the past 2 days, i've done nothing but buy ore from ah...elementium is 1.5-1.75 each right now30-35 a stack, i've bought at least 900 stacks, and turned around and only bot i've had to do is prospecting and ring making!! made over 50K profit, started with 3k and now i'm at 75k....rinse repeat make gold

Damn that's nice! And wow elementium is cheap on Ur server its atleast 55 a staqck on mine was going for more.

It's not like you have to report them, if they bot recklessly, they will get themselves banned sooner or later anyways, so don't sweat it, and don't waste time on it

Does it really matter that you or anyone else know who he is? From what I'm reading he's not really doing anything wrong.. I can't see anyone making a big deal because his bot crafts for him I mean he could sit there and click a quantaty to make and watch tv not much different..

Do you disenchant the rings? or just sell them? all im getting is hypnotic dust really and hypnotic is selling for 1.30..

Forgive me for pointing out the obvious but please do not message him in game to discuss such matters (i.e specific detail if you know what I mean..). You never know when your chat logs may be scrutinised. Stay safe mate!

Dust is about worthless on my server, currently like 20g a stack.. The essences are still selling well though, 50-80g each, so i still DE all rings.. Hoping for a bunch of Cosmic Essence.

heres the thing, when it comes to this game ive learned a few things, and one of those things i the idea of karma, if your reporting botters and messaging them, chances are someones going to do it to you.
the best thing you can do is just leave people alone and dont help contribute to their demise. if they are doing stupid stuff they will get whats coming to them.

I can spot another botter immediatly, its not hard to catch on, when you run a dozen bots yourself. But when you are botting and you go emo and report others, and you also whisper them... you must be a prick. I would immediatly check you up if you'd whisper me, and I would start monitoring you. In case I get banned, I got your name. I'll simply log from another account and report you back. In the end we both lose, is it worth it? Stop trying to look smart and lay low like we all do...

its not that im being a prick. and i dont see them botting and i wouldent care if i did, cuz i bot to. He had the ah full of an item and undercutting would be wasteful for anyone so i no longer was able to post my own ore. he had 3 pages full. and as i said before at first i did want to report him cuz i was pissed i couldent sell anything. but i didnt because i realized i would be a hypocrit then i wondered if i should warn him that others are catching on because i heard some people talking (thus supporting fellow botters not being a "prick") and maybe to take heat off him and help us both out i could have made a deal that ill buy all his stuff off him as he farms via CoD that way he has guarenteed sales and i can turn around and use the ore with jc or w/e to make me a bit more profit. thanks for assuming the worst in me though and not reading anything else ive said i truly appreciate your ignorance ^.^

Trust me. Someone else will report him since there really are real live people that farm and play the AH and they get fed up with it too. It might take a while for the hammer but it will come so why draw extra attention to yourself?
