Is it safe to bot currently?

Hey all,

So I heard about the news from 21st May or something bout the ban wave blizzard had made. It was against people who botted as far as I understand correct? I came back to the game bout 2 weeks ago and thought about using a bot this week. My question is, is it safe currently to bot and have the developers figured out/fixed the issue? I won't be using the bot 24/7 obviously. I usually game wow a lot, more than 6 hours a day lol but take 30 min breaks every 2 hours or so. Id probably leave the bot on every 2 or 3 nights or so. Anyway, would I be caught if i botted, after the ban wave? Is it risky?

I got banned about 1 hour 30 minutes ago using a battle chest level 90 farmer. I am convinced they have changed something to detect people and are more proactive on bannings now.

I'm sure people will claim otherwise :)

My Kicks Test bot hasn't gotten banned yet :) but not saying it wont happen lol that's one of the reasons hes on a $7 key to test to see if they up'd their tracking techs. Additionally, farming is ALWAYS risky it has a much higher player report chance because your toons are always in the open where it can be seen.
 
Everyone got banned soon or later. Push it hard and you will get what you waiting for! You need to try :cool:

As safe as "safe" can be.
Finally got my bots back to 90 and farming old dungeons now for ~48hours straight.
 
My 678 Blood DK is still banned, and since he is the most progressive of all my toons, I'm resolving to wait until November when he is unlocked. I might miss out on a fair bit, but I'm okay with that now.

I'd only be using two bots within HB now: Enyo (with Tuanha's CR) and Garrisonbuddy. The former because DK rotations are still a bit weird for me, and the latter because garrison farming is kind-of a chore.

Mhh... My new characters are all over 680 again (3 of them). I'd suggest you don't wait just because you had little gear you can farm in a week and a half. ;)

Well on another account I have a Rogue who is of similar gear level. Although I'm hesitant because DPS have long queues, plus Rogues seem a bit squishy to me (even with Tuanha's routine).
 
So I was banned and i want to make a new account on WOW butt! I bought a $120 dollar profile on honorbuddy do I lose that if I buy a new key? If I do then I think im giving up, 45 dollars for a key and 120 dollars for a profile also I did buy couple more stuff, do I lose it all????
 
Whats the best way to make money at level 90?
Was going to quit botting but seeing as though a battlechest is cheap its worth the risk if i can make some money before the hammer falls
i Would not pay for the wod expansion based on how easy it is to get banned but i believe a battlechest will get a toon to level 90

I used Kicks profiles to level my battle chest to 90. The account lasted just over 12 hours when I was farming. Right now I'm convinced they're monitoring battle chest 90 characters hard.

I wanna use the bot for farming and questing 1-90 cause I dont have WoD and am not planning to get it. Is it more likely to be banned between 90-100? Has anyone been banned recently on Silvermoon Alliance? I don't really want to risk my main account but I dont want to really buy a new account either, how much does WoW cost up to MoP currently? I guess if it was under 30$ or something I'd get a second account just for botting.

I could go make a starter edition account to test if Blizzard would ban me botting, or is there no point in banning me if im only starter :P?

Number 2. "Yup, safe as houses, no bans here"
Number 3. "Botted for 30 seconds and got ban raped!"
Number 4. "Been botting for 25/8 with no bans! All good!'
Number 5....

See where i am going with this? No, it has never been 'safe' to bot. Ever.

No honor buddy and WoW keys/accounts are not linked in anyway. you would just login the new account and start honorbuddy with the same key you've always used
