Sure you can!

I bot my farmer (miner / herbalist) 5 days out of 7. I have 2 alchemists (for the pot and flask transmutes) and whatever I have left over from the herbs, I mill and make fortune cookies (249g a stack on my server). Half the ore gets prospected, made into rings and DE'd - the mats get sold on the AH but I save some hypnotic dusts for making embersilk bags. The other half of the ore gets smelted and turned into Stormforged shoulders then DE'd to make crystals (these are a really faster seller!). I spend at least 1 day botting for raid fish feast mats (Guppies, fathom eels and lavascales) and these get posted on Weds and Thurs nights (raid nights!)

This is just a very small snapshot of how I go about my routine of making gold, and I make around 15k a day doing this with little effort. This doesnt even include farming cloth and leather for the bags / leg armour / pristine hides etc........plus everything else you can make or gather to sell on the AH. Making gold is easy if you have a routine. )

Get jc/enchant. cut rares and make neck/ring de them and sell enchants on ah. without ahbot probably 8-10k a day.with ahbot probably 10-15k. can odviously be more or less but these seem like safe numbers.

if you want this sort of income or more go with what's on demand for each expansion the majority rules of farming usually goes with herbs and ores, due to the high demand of certain materials they'll sell faster for cheaper or be delayed for a much higher profit. I do ores bars via alchemy for this expansion, if you have multiple accounts you should be able to rake in 50k in just a days works or 8hrs as long as you have buyers who'll pay top dollar.

I have three accounts and can only make about 400k a month if everything goes as it should the way I'm making gold right now.

50k in five days? If I'm lucky with nodes per hour on all accounts, yeah. I'm selling raw herbs and ores at the moment, no idea what to do really.

Minimal effort, minimal rewards. Regardless of people sharing gold secrets, obviously just farming and selling things raw will be the most barbaric form of gold generation. At least do something with the mats

It differs very much from server to server. Doing the ore shuffle seems nice, but on my server even the Enchanting mats and gems do not sell that fast. I did it for a few days and still have a lot of mats to spare; and I even undercut others. So is it easy to make a lot of gold? Well, maybe, depends heavily on your economy/server. All mats and gems are in large supply on my server, so prices are low and things do not sell fast.

If you're willing to find out what items are needed by players and is expensive to buy, that's what you should be farming.

Probably the simple fact that the whole process of getting those in demand items, is what makes it rare or valued.

Since it also usually requires math is the best reason nobody makes huge AH profits without working the AH every 8 to 20 hours.

For a pure shuffle profile, you can use wowuction to generate costs for mats and the profit from the different professions. Can be very handy if you understand what wowuction is, does, and how it works, because the site does a lot of math that will help you out with cost approximates and market size, without learning what is on the AH by hand.

Most people still need daily procs, glyphs, enchants, hard to get mid level profession items from lvl 50 - 60 areas, like rugged leather, and recipes or patterns.

Oh hell yes its very possible on a high pop realm with people constantly leveling profs, farm trillium all day and night then smelt it into bars idk about your realm but on mine the bars go for around 1k-1.5k a stack so post 50 on ah time will most pop on most but repost mon-friday youd have 50k in no time.

Currently i have a goal of 100K per week on 1 account, untill im gold capped, running about 12h per day, making 1200g per hour.
