Thanatos, I really do not think at this point ANYTHING we say will genuinely placate you. And once again I understand the frustration of many of you. I think sometimes its easy to see a staff or volunteer tag, and automatically assume we all get paid, most of us are customers just like you who volunteer to help because we believe in the community. We cn't even alter the course of our trainer. If we select "catch pokemon" a
Will the next update include customizable paths?
Will it include the ability to randomize walking speed as dictated by the user? 1kmph - 7kmph for example? 6kmph-20kmph for example?
Will it stop performing actions within 1 second of eachother when in the actual game it takes at least 5 seconds?
Will you stop saying "If Niantic servers accept the request, then it's OK!" to these issues that leads to us getting baned repeatedly?
To address your questions (at least the ones I can speak for):
Q. Will the next update include customizable paths?
A. With PF 1.0 probably not going to happen, we have been working more on adding features missing from 1.0 with pf 2.0 I have been speaking with the devs and always trying to keep that on the table, they have not indicated its impossible or not going to happen so i will continue to advocate for that (hard to believe i know but i wasn't lying when i said i'm advocating for the community)
Q. Will it include the ability to randomize walking speed as dictated by the user? 1kmph - 7kmph for example? 6kmph-20kmph for example?
A. With the current PF, no this will not be happening. I had asked about this myself, and the best way i could understand is that there are limitations to speed variants at least with the system we use, and we need to be careful who we go through for these maps and such. It is entirely possible that with 2.0 that this could be implemented, but this is again another one that I have brought up to the devs (remember that update when new speeds were added, you're welcome, that was the result of people in the community asking for it, and myself pressing for it)
Q. Will it stop performing actions within 1 second of eachother when in the actual game it takes at least 5 seconds?
A. At the present moment those timers have not been changed. I will be happy to sit down the the devs again, and discuss it. Though keep in mind when we did have the timers longer, almost EVERYONE complained about how long it was taking... (so to be fair we did have it there, and changed it when the majority of the community demanded it to be changed)
Q. Will you stop saying "If Niantic servers accept the request, then it's OK!" to these issues that leads to us getting baned repeatedly?
A. Thats a question that requires clarification before i will agree to answer. Because you are taking the context of a response and adding your own personal beliefs to what the outcome is. In certain instances, the response mentioned is completely acceptable and the truth, in those cases, no, we will not stop saying it, if its true. In instances where you or anyone else can bring solid hard proof that certain things are getting accounts banned, then bring it to the support forums or even into discord with your claim, the research and the proof (ie. how to replicate it) and we will be happy to make changes..
As for your last comment, that was unwarranted, why would I or anyone ban you unless you have actively engaged in breaking rules?
What I fail to understand Thanatos, is why you are presenting this as a "you guys vs. us" sort of situation, when we are all supposed to be a part of the same community. Something that again I think is easily forgotten or lost in the pool of emotions running wild, tempers flaring and once again Niantics shenanigans. I am certain they are patting themselves on the back if they are reading about how divided our community is getting with some people. Thankfully many of you have stayed supportive and kept with the community.
I hope this clarifies your questions, even if its not the answers you were hoping for.
