Is Inscription more profitable than just selling herbs in bulk?

I've been selling herbs/ore in WoW for a long time and I was pleased to see the insane herb/ore prices witnessed on many realms, Illidan-Horde[US] being no exception, but now that whatever change to inscription occurred(something about an ink vendor which I was clearly too lazy to ask about), would it be more profitable for me to mill out all my herbs and sell inks(or whatever inscriptionists do...i've never actually lvled inscription) or keep selling herbs in bulk? Prices on Illidan are about 35g/stack for both Green Tea Leaves and Silkweed. Ore has tanked as well, dropping down to about 45g/stack. Any input would be nice. Thanks, Schwindy.

Well, a store that sells multiple items most definitely does not automatically do better than a store that sells only one item, first off. Secondly, I honestly don't even understand what your statement means. Please, reword it.

If a store has bread, butter, ham, soda, electronics, hardware of different kinds, it surely is going to sell more than if it only had bread.

It's no surprise to me that you play on US realms.

Err actually, it would be if a store sold bread, mayo, turkey, lettuce, and tomato separately, it would sell a little less than a shop that sold turkey sandwiches, cause you can charge more for the convenience.

But no other sandwich store owner would come over to buy ALL YOUR BREAD for his business. Well, in WoW you can be both a big bread seller and a smaller sandwich shop. At the same time! So if you have the time to make the sandwiches, do it!

would it be so hard to just say if you think it would be better or not? i have inscription and herbalism. until the change last friday i was making a lot from selling ink, but now the ink is only worth 100g each and herbs are like 70 a stack. its not worth the trouble to sell the ink anymore, selling darkmoon cards could be worth it but not until the next fair. until then can just stock up on them.

So you're saying that a store would not sell more if they had multiple items? Why on earth do company's have more than one thing in their inventory? A store with both the ingridients and the pre-made sandwich would sell more than a store with only sandwiches, or only bread.
