Is herb/scribe more profitable than herb/mining for a botter?

Assuming that you have no other classes on the server, so you cant make anything with the materials.

As I see it , I have 3 options:

1) Farm in Kun Lai - both herbs and ores.
This way I'll get a LOT of Snow Lily, but not many ores.
Right now Ghost Iron ores on my server is going for 1.40g per stack.
Lets say that during a day of farming, I get 40 stacks (pretty accurate in Kun Lai, I get more in other zones). Thats around 1200g per day.
Snow Lily is around 1.68g. Assuming that I pick around 4k herbs a day, thats just under 7k gold.
So in total that would net me around 8k gold a day.

2) Farming in other zones with both mininng and herb.
I have only tried this for a short time. The outcome was much lower than in Kun-Lai, simply because there is soooo much more interaction with mobs.
This also means that I need better gear than if i farm in Kun-Lai.

3) Have herb and scribe. Farm Snow Lily in Kun-Lai.
I usually make around 7-9k a day from milling the herbs and making the Secret Shoulder Enchant.
But for the sake of arguing, lets say 7k, meaning it's less than in the first option.
But then we factor in the Darkmoon Card I can make every day.
On my server, they go for anything bwtween 500-5000g, most of them are around 2200g.
So in worst case I get 7500g a day, and in best I can get 14k gold.

This doesnt even take into account the fact that my botter now wont be forced to have hundreds of auctions on everyday,
making it even more hard to identify me as a botter.

So what do you guys think?
 
I have mining and herb, and just maxed inscription and im curious as well.. also what is this secret shoulder enchant you speak of? I've been making the boe shoulder enchants but they only sell for around 175-300g depending on which one it is
 
Right now, i have herb+mining. So far i bot around 8-10 hours a day. I make about 20k a day since i have 2x inscrip+1 jc to prospect the ores. Pretty good combo if you ask me.
 
Mining,herb JC Inscript/Echant if you are serious about making gold.
 
Obviously mine/herb is best if you have other chars with profss on the server.
I'm talking about when you only have your bot on the server.
 
If I'm just looking for some quick/easy gold with minimal work, I'm going with herb/mining. If I'm looking to put in a bit more time to craft some items and earn even more gold, I bot up a scribe/jc as well. It really depends on what you are looking to accomplish.
 
How crazy 500-5k for the cards? This will be the most useful post on this thread, I truly have a solution for your gold making problems keep the herb and inscription and get the hell off that shit hole of a server lmao, I play on a high pop server and the cards go for minimum 20k, I see em go for 40k all day on ah and trade man. U can make enough off the cards alone that you won't even need to bot and keep your account safe, buy herbs in bulk for cheap mill and make the cards and shoulder chants or bot the herb yourself and make the cards for pure profit. But Its almost worth me making a toon on your server and buy out all the cards and xfer back lol during dark moon fair the cards sell for 10k each after darmoon fair it triples or more lol and in my opinion it's the easiest way to make gold, jc/enchanting shuffle works too but is a ton of work I used to do that and in mats alone I'd spend 2 days prospecting and de etc. move servers slang the cards lol raw mats suck to sell unless u have a buyer and even then he's making tons of profit off of you
 
Not sure that I used the right word.
I am not talking about the finished deck, im talking about the cards you need 8 of to make the trinket.
 
there is no way cards are selling for 20k-40k on any server. in your origional post you pretty much answered your own question. i too bot in kun'lai however i do have my gatherer do both. but my toon with the most gold is my scribe because of my gatherer. if i only had 1 toon i would roll herb/scribe. at least for now til the cards are no longer BiS then you could even think of going herb/alch for flasks/pots etc.

Cards on Russian realms are 600-800g now. What 20k are you talking about?
 
If you're lazy or running many bots, you should just sell the herbs/ores, otherwise you'll flood ah.
If you're just running one bot, I suggest doing herb+mining on char 1, alchemy+inscription on char 2, jc+enchanting on char 3. Herb and ore shuffling.

Never make too many of one item, so if you're with 1000 stacks of ores per day AH will be flooded with gems/enchants and it will crash.

If you otherwise go with one bot, keep it around 100-200 stacks per day, shuffle (gems/flasks/decks/epic OH/glyphs/enchants), and you'll still make a huge profit.

Not to brag since I know it's low for some people, but a week ago I ran with only one bot 24/7 with ore and herb shuffle, then another account for AHBuddy - started this a few weeks after MoP release. I made about 12 million gold, but got banned(which was expected!). But I'm quite used to 'playing the AH' legit. I flip lots of items on my main account, and on my bot account I flipped gems when I felt like it. Changed red gems from 15g to 300g was my last thing. People can't win vs an AHBuddy and an experienced buyer - if someone undercuts me, I undercut them and eventually buyout. I still make insane profit from flipping hundreds of red gems.

You have been banned for what account? Gather account? AHBuddy Account? Craft/Disenchant/Prospect Account?

What's the best way to make real money from gold. I have farmed just for in game items but I want to pick this up as a hobby and make A little cash to pay for other botting accounts and what not
