Is Blizzard on to Honorbuddy?

just rename - wow-64.exe to something like wow-64sucks.exe - whollah - tin foil hats all around

Lol that crap doesent work...Still launches in x86 no matter what gets deleted or renamed. There is no work around. Mine as well just wait until they are done

You don't change just the name, but the type, make sure you have the option to view extensions on first.
Go to windows explorer, select Tools, Folder Options, in the View tab un-select Hide extensions for known file types.
Then change the exe to "Wow-64.exe.bak"

Also just as an aside here, Blizzard has known about HB forever. There are Blizzard employees on these forums. I don't know this for sure, but I personally believe Blizzard is quite alright with a certain number of bots so as to not upset the status quo of the game and still make money off of us. Provided HB doesn't damage the game as a whole, they aren't likely to aggressively pursue it. Note that does not apply to single target bans - if you do something stupid, you will still get hit.

Agree. Plus, if they pursued it as a whole and would "ban" the bot itself... just imagine. THAT would be a massive drop in profits. And Blizzard is most likely perfectly aware of that. My believe is, they started banning here and there, and implemented the report function not because of an earnest try to get rid of the botters, but to calm down all those complaining ppl.. just to show they are doing something. Because, by all teasing and rambling, Blizzard isn't stupid or retarded.

Wrong.

Not wrong. Still launching in x86

First of all, x86 is an instruction set that supports both 32 bit and 64 bit software, so correct your terminology. Second of all, it does work, because I'm using 32 bit WoW with PQR right now.

That's fine, and I'm not hating on you for being new - but if you're new you shouldn't be claiming facts that aren't true.

Go into your World of Warcraft folder, rename Wow-64.exe to Wow-64.exe.old (make sure you have show file extensions on), then run Wow.exe.

Bam, 32 bit.

Or...Using the picture above this comment, right click on Wow.exe and create a direct link into the desktop for this file, then use that new direct link to enter WoW and voila!!! WoW running in 32 bits....easyyyyyy

Launched my shortcut (which obviously has always been x86) noticed when launched it was x64, deleted shortcut and created a new x86 shortcut and launched that. Boom launched in x64 again.... same happens launching WoW.exe in wow directory. So added.fail after the exe on the x64 executable (wow-64.exe.fail) and launched wow.exe and back to normal now in 32bit.

Have you deleted it at some point? Try doing a repair from the launcher and see if it comes back.

Ok mate huge problem... I dont have Wow-64.exe.old file. I have everything you have but that.
That's because ski has already renamed his Wow-64.exe to Wow-64.exe.old. That's what he was telling you to do. You rename Wow-64.exe to Wow-64.exe.old, then you will have Wow-64.exe.old.
