Is Blizard on the HB with the botting. Because it seems like they are trying to catch people botting now by seeing wether or not to restrict 32 bit which all of us of course cant access no more due to the patch update. So what is suppose to happen now? I only use kicks to level toons when im not home/sleeping and etc. Really love HB and dont want it to die because of blizz...

you know you can just launch straight from the 32bit exe...... right....... >.> just... like always.....

just rename - wow-64.exe to something like wow-64sucks.exe - whollah - tin foil hats all around

I had problem not able to Load 32 bit from wow.exe also but went to blizz websight to download wow which made the play screen stay open to change to 32 bit.

I know the team are working on a update for HB but I just wanted to ask this.

Question: If you rename or modify any files in the wow folder, does the launcher not check the files in order to determine if they need changing updating or corrupt.? And if so could this be a way for Blizz to flag account which maybe botting in order to investigate later. Because why else you would be changing names files etc etc.

Now it might not make any difference what so ever. I don't personally know hence the reason I am asking.

The launcher does not do this by default. That is what the repair option does. The launcher only checks a version file and then compares with what the current is - if they match it does nothing.

If you do a repair, it will likely replace the 64 bit exe back to the default name.

As for flagging accounts, it's possible, but Blizzard will only use a method that flags 100% botters. They will not risk banning non-bot accounts both for PR reasons and for monetary reasons. So long as there is a minimal legitimate reason of doing it (32 bit runs better on my 64 bit machine, for example) - then it's doubtful they'll use it as a method to track bots.

Also just as an aside here, Blizzard has known about HB forever. There are Blizzard employees on these forums. I don't know this for sure, but I personally believe Blizzard is quite alright with a certain number of bots so as to not upset the status quo of the game and still make money off of us. Provided HB doesn't damage the game as a whole, they aren't likely to aggressively pursue it. Note that does not apply to single target bans - if you do something stupid, you will still get hit.

not if u launch, wow.exe for example and not thru the launcher

Lol.. they are still testing the bot. It's not working for anyone. Jesus ppl give them some time to make sure everything it working right. They want to release it with no detections and little as possible bugs.
