How does it work?


Very simple, IM is a Fire Mage Custom Class tailored specificaly for PvP (BGs, RBGs, Arena). IM, in turn, is part of my collection of PvP CC's named "Ira Caeli ~ A PvP Custom Class Compilation" which is a new styled PvP method, this style of CC changes the way your character fights depending on "Who & What" you currently have targeted. So, to put this in more specific terms: IM will dynamically change it's fight style dependent on if you have a "Player Vs. NPC" targeted as well as the specific "Class & Specialization" of the current target (please note: NPC's will all use the highest DPS output rotation as its standard, thus the rotations will not change).

  • Dynamic rotations based on which class you are targeting
  • Dynamic rotations based on if you are targeting an NPC or a Player
  • GUI
  • All usable spells (meaning spells that should actually be used in PvP) have been implemented with very few exceptions
  • One of (if not the) highest DPS'n PvP CC
  • Detailed realtime Logging
  • "StopCombat()" Macro: used to stop Combat() & Pull() allowing you full control
  • "MultiCast()" Macro: used to cast any single spell regardless of if the GCD is ticking
  • There are many more but I feel they are trivial compared to the above mentioned

This is pretty much a replica of the IM v1.00 version except for the following:

FAQ
Q) How do you use this CC?
A)
Download the newest version below > Extract the file into your "CustomClasses" folder within the HonorBuddy directory > Done!

How do you use the "StopCombat()" Macro?
A)
Create the following Macro ("/script Manual= not Manual;") and place it somewhere on your action bar > Press once to turn off IM's "Combat()" function > Press once more to restart IM's "Combat()" function

Q) How do you use the "MultiCast()" Macro?
A)
Create the following Macros (you can create as many as you wish, but only one spell per macro):

place these somewhere on your action bar > Press once to initiate (
Note: If you press without the necessary requirements to actually cast the spell the CC will spam it until it is cast, so use wisely)

Update to version 1.01 is now available! If you find an issue please attach a log and what version you are using! We are still in the first phase of the BETA, after Confirmation that this is working smoothly is acquired I may start to turn this into a tactics CC much like the rest of my CC's. Need testers in Arenas, RBGs, BGs (Just want to see what else you would want implemented), you must use the version posted in the beginning of this thread if you want to use RaidBot!

I would love to try but my mage is pretty undergeared ;s

Is there any spec you reccomend for this cc ?

At the time of this video (yesterday, lol), I was in full S10 gear (Less Shoulders, they were S11) so being under geared really isn't an issue, lol! As for spec: So long as you have Scorch while moving your good, I'll post back with a more descriptive answer in a little bit, need to head out for a few errands.

Would it be possible to do something like this :

Sadly no, as the addtion of a spell requires your GCD to be free in order to press it. As a script you can press it even if the GCD is ticking.

Personal Update: "Please keep in mind that I am a full time College student (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday w/ HDI, AITP, IEEE meetings scattered throughout the week). I code CC's for fun & experience when my spare time allows, as such School and work take precedence over maintaining my CC compilation (sometimes I wish it wasn't so as I find coding to be very fun but, money doesn't grow on trees, least not since I last checked). Updates will be released as soon as I get time to finalize revisions but until then please be patient."

Due to the recent CC rule changes I am slowing down my
Ira Caeli development, do not get me wrong as I never said "STOP". I am just going to see how my fellow developers and the HB community respond over the next few weeks. In lue of the changes I am still working hard on getting updates to my Tactics CC's, updates will come when I feel comfortable with HB running smoothly again. If you have any questions please PM me.

IM v1.01 is back up for beta testing, I want to make the following "very" clear:

1) If you don't give me feed back I will not update as I have nothing to reference it off of, so give me any and all feedback or I will assume this perfect.
2) I do not make AFK CC's, my CC's are user based in the fact that you do all the movement, and with the help of the toggle macro, you can cast other spells not codded. If you need an example read the text under the video on the threads initial post. Oh, and watch the video, lol.
3) Give me some God damn feedback, I am tired of members waiting till something breaks or spamming me with "DPS sucks and it don't use "insert spell name here" good..." Post a log, use understandable grammar, and ask politely what you want...
4) Follow these steps and IM v1.01 will be updated regularly, and hopefully, will become a CC standard for Arenas, RBGs, and BGs.

I've been waiting for a good mage pvp CC for a long time, soo much so that I have put off leveling a mage. But after seeing this I have started leveling my mage again, and as soon as he hits 85 I will give it a test, and let you know how it goes.

Tested on my ruthless geared fire mage.
Pretty nice CC, altho he sometimes wont start the rotation after Fire Blast (yes Toggle was switched on)
 
@Crippleboxer,

I'll have to look into it, this is just a basic CC (nothing special about it yet). Also note that adding "/say Toggle" in the toggle macro will help you know when it is used.
 
I'm about to give this a try at level 82 as Time Warp is currently the only mage ability I'm missing, Will let you know how it goes. One question though, does the latest version use defensive cds, or are those still in the works?

IM will only use basic Armor and buffs (Mage Armor, Arcane Brilliance, Mage Ward, Mana shield), no other Defensive CDs have been coded as of yet. Remember this is just the initial Beta, I need feedback from the community to make this better.
 
ran some bgs at 82 for a couple of hours tonight using this cc. Have to say the thing is a beast, topping damage charts in full green pve gear. The only issue I ran into which I don't have a log for because my guild wanted to do some runs, and I spaced out making a copy of the log, was that in AV running as alliance, it wouldn't attack some of the scouts, or the first general that you kill. It attacked drek without any problems. It was just those few npc's. I'm pretty sure it wasn't the script toggle, because I added that line to a macro for each of my defensive cds. So as long as I press that button twice it will toggle off, cast, then toggle back on. I'll be running more this week, and if I'm able to replicate the problem I will get you a log. Didn't have any problems with NPCs in IOC, it was just those couple in AV.

Have to say after trying this cc, I'm going to try out your unholy dk one, I've been using pqr for a long time with my dk to run arenas as there hadn't been an unholy pvp cc for a while. But if that cc performs half as well as this one does, I will probably switch permanently :) More feedback to come on this and some of your other ccs.
