Hey Guys,

As im sure most of you are aware you can use windows firewall to hide from your real ID friends on wow. It disables it completely. I want to know if this would be a good way to bot with out all ya friends trying to contact you while your botting. However my only problem with this is that i think blizz would watch this more than if you just signed in? any body have and feed back?

If you are unsure what im talking about this link explains how to do it Appear offline in WoW on real-id - YouTube

I have almost been botting for a year, have 5 accounts and 5 keys. I bot smart and have never been banned (knock on wood). In my opinion, Blizzard doesn't care enough about this.
1) You can't be super paranoid when botting or you won't ever get anything accomplished (this does not mean go out and bot all day every day... be smart).
2) I highly doubt blizzard would waste their time trying to detect this (not that I know how easy/hard this would be).
3) I don't have friends on my accounts that I farm with, but I am sure this would be a great way to hide your late-night farming grinds

tldr: Chill out, Blizzard doesn't care enough, Have fun

This, because botting smart is all that matters when you're breaking the rules. Be sly when you're doing something bad and you know you got away with it in no time :P

Side note, ban rates are really high with Gatherbuddy2 and BGbuddy, but I use both in excess and have never had a problem. Thoughts that might help you out that I have about what I have done:
1) I play on a retardedly low population server, meaning that I hardly ever see anyone else when I watch my bots and probably don't receive many to any reports
2) I make sure that even on my farming accounts I will do things to make it seem like someone is actually playing the game. Nobody logs in and just farms day in and day out. I run Gatherbuddy2 for a few hours, maybe log out for a little bite, log back in and do BGBuddy for another few hours, maybe post up my auctions and log off for a bit, and then maybe do some daily quest farming, etc. Mix it up and it will seem reasonable. Plus, if you do get banned, I would assume they wouldn't believe your appeal story if all your toon has done is level to 90 and farm ore/herbs lol

If you end up acquiring more than 1 account, you can almost always have 1 account farming while doing the other "life-like" fillers. (ie: 1 farming, 1 BG, 1 Questing) And then just rotate them out every so often. This allows you to fully gear out 'x' amount of toons while always farming for that sick amount of gold, AND looking life-like. ezpz

Ps: I don't remember where the thread is, but there are some pretty great threads out there that discuss safe botting. They cover plugins and strategies that allow you to maximize your botting while attempting to "safe-proof" your actions. But like we have said earlier, nothing is safe so just accept that you might get banned and out-smart those Blizzard tools haha
