Hi guys!

First i would like to thanks DB Team and ciggarc for the fabulous work they do.
Im a non professionnal botter with some experience. I made my own profiles and i bot actively for 2 months on d3. I did this for only 2 month because i quit my 90h/week job 2 month earlier for some personnal reason.
For the moment i have lot of fun with 2 bot. I earn almost 900?/ months from gold i sell to rmah (7/7 20h/24h).
I post this thread to have some feedback on your own experience about botting and your advices about my project.

My project:
- Buy 7 new d3 accounts and so 2 new 3 DB sessions. --> 435 ?
- new computer --> 720?

By extrapolation and without consider market fluctuation... ( i know that is the most important thing but i m not able to foresee that for the moment) the profit would be from 2K5? to 3K? / months.

Thanks for your answers :-)
ps: sorry for my english, im french...

too late already I think. At the time you have the new bots running you will propably need one more computer to make that much money.

3000 Eur from 7 bots per month is unrealistic, and You also have take into account possibility of ban which will not only hit you on accounts and gear cost, but set you back with efficiency due to need to restart from 0 paragon lvl.

Ok. Thanks. In reality eisenberg, its more 2k5 from 9 bots. I already saved some items to equip them as soon as they hit 60.

Lypnn, in fact its like buying a computer, i mean if i just wait to see how the market rise or fall, i Would never take a decision, that is why i need some feedback on your experience.

The situation seems quite dire at the moment for any heavy investment. With 1.0.5 most high end players are seeing a minimum of 2k+ gold piles. On top of that, it doesn't take much for a legit player to build a character that is efficient in Act 3 at MP0-3 (and I guess this is pretty much end-game for most people, MP7+ is really reserved for the minority)

There is still no end-game so there won't be a big enough player base to demand enough gold that it will drive up the price, so it'll probably keep going down. There isn't any natural gold/item sink so a player's wealth will continue to go up. It'll only be a matter of time before the market once again gets saturated with the latest gear (ilvl 63 jewelry, higher affixes on legendaries/sets that were below ilvl 63). All in all, the market is steadily going straight to hell until Blizzard does something about it in up coming patches.

If the money is important and you really really expect it to pay off, I believe it is best to wait until next weekend and see what is the price of gold on the RMAH. Check everyday if you must, and if you see it continuously going down, it's probably a safe bet it won't be coming up any time soon and would really hurt your expectations.

Edit: If you rather not wait, well it's the weekend now so evaluate the situation. Price of gold went up a little bit then went back down. This is no where near what happened in 1.0.4 in terms of higher gold prices.

900 euro from 2 bots is a lot. That means you pull in 60m a day with todays gold rates which is pretty hard if you dont have atleast 1b in gear. Its possible to pull in that gold now with the new patch but that will soon change when the market is flooded with legendarys and lvl 63 rings/amus.

I thought that gold rates were gonna go up with this patch but they have stayed the same as before which is pretty worrisome. Gold rates will most likely drop fast when all the hype for 1.0.5 has mellowed out. I think that the best way would be to save it for when the xpac is coming or maybe when they launch pvp.

/e and most importantly, dont fool yourself when you do the calculations for an investment. For instance, you shouldnt count on making 15euro a day per bot cus that will most likely not happen. I think 5euro per bot is more realistic considering gold prices will most likely drop soon.

Well... I'm not going to do that, 1st because i'm not looking for a medals, 2nd because its a little bit risky isn'it (date, amount etc...) In fact, i made 30€/day for the last 15 days with 1 paragon 80+ and 1 50+.
Sorry for the incomplete answer psivnert

If that's what you're making, then give it a go, set up costs aren't too much if you have some cash saved up. Just like any other gamble you take, you can lose, you can win. Won't know until you try.

Youre business model relies on the stability of demonbuddy in order to be profitable.

That answer your question?

What do You mean by endgame ? In my opinion the whole point in Blizzard logic is to not have "endgame" in this game, but rather nearly inifnite challenge to beat higher and higher "monster power levels". They increased drastically droprate, so that ppl can see some progress and be rewarded for their effeorts, and climb steadily through monster power levels. Of course many might get bored along the way, but pre 1.05 system where even team of blue-yellow guys could defeat diablo, and then the only thing left was frutiless farm was far worse.

900 euro a month with 2 bots?

COMPLETE BULLSHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!

You would need to get over 2 billion per month with botting to get that.

well you also have to consider the "opportunity cost" of that gear you have saved up. could you sell it for money right now? gotta consider that as part of the overall cost.

Actually you know what I don't know what the hell I mean by end-game. Just something other than a mindless farm for nothing (when markets get saturated we're just going back to 1.0.4). A gold sink, an item sink, ladder, pvp, something to give new breath to the game other than trying to continuously patch a leaking ship.

I doubt the majority will even bother trying to tackle the upper ends of the MP. The scaling is just way too insane and reserved for the 1% playerbase. They'll find what they are comfortable with, realize it's just a mindless grind be it MP1 or MP10, and quit again till the next patch.

Well, its H&S afterall, so its all about mindless grind, they will introduce pvp in the future, but since it requires alot of planning and rebalancing they are just trying right now to maitain interest in game with cheap tricks. Furthermore, judging from the speed of relesing major patches they are caring for this game and when ppl get borew with 1.05, they will come with something new. Also i dont think that ladder or BoE items will change much, basically monsetr power is just like ladder - If you wan to stay with "what youre comfortable with" you wil just wont make new chars after ladder reset. And BoE items will probably make pleares to be more reluctant on paying high prices for gear.

I wouldn't invest anymore in d3 if I was you. Unless it takes off again, things have gone to hell in rmah and gold prices are nuts :(

Ok all thanks for your comments :-)

well, the question now is what's the next cash game ? :) until D3 introduce RMAH, i think others will follow... ?!
