For sure. I'm really tempted to go back to a skorn build like before but I'm not sure the investment would be worth it at this point. I found once I switched over to DW my dph is nearly zero. If I wanted to poke at the higher monster powers I'd def go for it tho.

Is the xp/gph at higher MP worth the effort?

450-500 GPH and 20-25M XPH ParaLvl 85 (110.9 Bonus exp)

I was looking at the 2nd post on the Monk cannon guide and using that as a rough guideline. I made mistakes and had good experience in gearing my barb but I never played with Monk so need to minimize the mistakes.

Any reason why you went with the Inna's helm instead of the Andariels? I was looking to stack poison resist cause it seems like the most favorable. Physical and fire is sought after by other classes. Cold is good but cold isn't found on every gear. Poison seems to be found on everything and an Andarials will give me Crit chance, Attack Speed, poison resist, and a socket. But you take more fire dmg. lol


Shoulder - good call. However i just looked up shoulders and man, ANYTHING with pick up radius has skyrocketed in price. WTF. 40 mil for shoulders with 100+ Dex/Vit, All res, poison and pickup

Gloves - Ill check out tasker and theo. never heard of them. I was just going to get a rare but the more options the better.
Chest - How come innas? I found a rare with 80 Dex/120 Vit/40 X resist/55-65AR and 3 sockets for around 2-3 mil. Would the innas be better than that? I'm not familiar with the set bonuses.

i'll def check out the rings as well. Pick up would be nice on the belt too.

Boots: I'll check nat's boots. Currently looking at ice climbers cause those stats are amazing but realized that it has no movement speed! boots are one of the most expensive pieces ever.

Are you dual wielding with the Shenlong's fist weapons?


Do you mind if I ask you what your stats are? DPS, Life on Hit (or whatever else mitigation), HP, AR, etc.

I actually started with andy's helm and a skorn and still have poison as my res to stack because of it. I switched over to Innas to get the 2set (+130dex) as well as drop that nasty +fire damage as act 3 seems to be filthy with fire damage.

Lacuni will cover half your move speed off the bat. THey really are great botting bracers.

I have the Shenlon's yeah. OH with a socket and a MH that just had high dps. I have to replace it with a socketed one eventually.

Unbuffed stats are

2380 dex / 44% dodge
1155 vit / 44k hp
4745 armor / 832 all res
42.5% crit / 236% crit dmg
1.97 attacks per sec / 950 LoH
20 pickup radius / 34% move
300% gf / 278% mf / 29% experience

80ish Paragon.

Why do you say the pants and belt set is necessary btw? If I can get iceclimbers, that'll be great since ill get my MS from the lacunis and pants (assuming Inna's has it). Okay so Inna's pants does have MS. But why the belt? the belt costs so much its like 5mil+ for something like 80 dex, 1% crit chance and nothing else. no pick up radius, no vit, no AR, no x resist, nothing.

I'd like to get all those but with as much MF as possible. Probably not possible though it's gonna cost me an arm and a leg. Ideally id like to do high MP levels.

I never understood elemental damage. Okay if it's 7% to holy damage, does that mean every skill that uses holy will get a 7% boost?

Yes. My stone of jordan has like 28% extra damage to elites, 5% bonus crit on wave of light, 5% lightning damage (fists of thunder). I found mine but you could probably snipe one cheap.

Yeah they seem reasonably priced. Just wondering if 20%+ to elites and 5-8% holy damage is worth giving up a bunch of stats on the ring. Not to mention the other ring will be a hellfire for leveling. Ah!

Yes you will be 1 shotting everything but elites (I sometimes do anyways). Its all about how fast you can clear your profile.

normally spend 5m per bot char, char runs mp1 with 0 dph, starts at around 150gph and as paragon level goes up to around 40 it gets up to 350 gph

I wouldnt spend too much on pickup radius as gold prices suck now. Its all about item find. If you really want it i would aim for 7%

I like to get 14 radius or more. The less the bots dance around snatching piles the better and soaking up all those health globes while in combat will let your bot ignore aoe (i have the avoidance for most everything set off and down at 20% for the explosion crap).

You can set them to ignore smaller piles of gold and they'll still soak up almost everything while keeping the run smooth. I'm not finding much that sells on the ah for more than 20mil so picking up gold is pretty important to me. The monk has been pulling in 600gph and likely more with some adjustments I've made today.

I gave in and got the innas 4 piece (dropped depth diggers and rare belt and replaced lacuni's to avoid wasted movement stats) and dropped serenity for wave of light. Modified his route as well so we'll see how it goes

which pieces are you running movement speed on? Inna's pants and boots?

You get less than 100 GPH more than me and I run w/ 7% pickup. I dont think it is worth spending a lot of gold on the extra % unless you just gold farm.

you can get pickup radius on gear if you shop around. It smooths out the bots route from what I've observed and is worth a few million extra. In the end a million gold is nothing to us really.

I spent a total of 32mil for gearing my monk. Came out to $11.50 in real money. Act 1 is no problem. We'll see about Act 3. I'm still using the questing profile so I can level and complete the quests and unlock all the levels.

I had to plan out and write on paper cause I learned from my mistakes before when you just buy gear that "looks good", by the time you need 3 or 4 more pieces, you calculate how much mainstat/vit/AR/CC, etc. etc. you need on each piece of gear and it comes out to like "300 Dex/240 Vit, 140 AR". And then you're screwed.

So I spent a good amount of time on the AH, writing shit down, using a calculator, making diagrams and shit and took a few hours. Especially cause money was an issue! Got it done though.

Overall, satisfied. Beat the guide's requirement on the stats by a little bit and also have 60% magic find on the gear. 1 shotting everything including elites in Act 1, mp0. Wont know about A3 till later.
