As far as I've read it was only that warden detected that pvpTool was using a chat script. I'm glad I only used Archa in Beta phase when no1 else then lvl2 users and mods had access to it :D Got no bans so far and Im farming 24/7 with my account xD

haha, thankfully I'm a buddy, must suck to be a pirox user.

Not really, pirox has many things that (imo) are better than functions of hb, just simply because you can control every problem that could happen to your char. There will never be any outdated Plugins which can cause an error or your CC simply doesn't use a spell and you need programming knowledge to implement that into your CC in HB. If you use Pirox you just need to add an additional key and that's it. However, I like HB aswell ;)

Yeah, maybe you're right but useless at all when you're banned :P

It apparently had the bot spewing out arch locations to the chat window then reading the chat from memory. Seems easy for Blizz to watch for.

There has been 10 threads started to about bans over the last 10 hours or so, I wonder if these people where using Pirox or its just a bad day for botting in general :P.

Sorry for anyones loss, Pirox or not :(

Never used Archy from pirox...infact lasttime i used pirox...archybot was not even released by them...still got 8 accounts taken out.

Lol last time i used Pirox was when it was only an afk bot back in BC lool

We’re in the process of stepping up our detection and tracking to log and action players that are botting, or habitually AFKing in the Battlegrounds. We’ll be taking aggressive action and removing earned items, Honor Points, and ultimately suspending or even banning accounts of those that are found to be botting or habitually AFKing. It’s a sophisticated level of monitoring we’re undertaking. No one actively playing in the Battlegrounds normally should be concerned that they’ll be actioned.

Well, many accounts have been banned/suspended lately here aswell, so i think there is something goin on atleast. I had 2 suspensions sunday, 1 48 hours, another 72 hours. And first of all, my bots was not running into a wall, dien from mobs/players or acting like bots, 0 wispers. Still blizzard stated in the suspension it was couse of using a 3rd party software to farm minerals and herbs. I think its auto detected atm.

So, let me get this stright. Their main marketing strategy is to be "passive" becase injection is Soooo bad and "can be spotted by Blizz any time" well? ...

Well concerning PvPtool i'm pretty sure their problems will get harder about detection and so on, my experience about was like this:

1)Botted with AIO and HB for about 6 months on different accounts, everything is fine atm (no bans no suspension, got 4 chars to max level and farmed over 150k golds)

2)Botted 1 char with PvPtool BG feature-lvlto (no Arch), got levelling char account and his RAF banned after 1 day of botting

Think the problem is not only about Archaeology. And btw AutoIT bot is pretty old nowadays i think. Blizz can easily scan and find a lot of "farming/Bot Macro" (that's how pvptool works) cause they are server-side saved on your account, and that's very stupid imo

Then it would be really easy to detect GB1 aswell. Most GB1 customers use macros (not even own thought macros, just took the public ones outta here) on buttons 6, 7, 8 on bar 3.

I think some people are losing perspective here. This is an isolated issue, related to a failure in coding his Archaeology engine. They had a flaw there that caused any toon using the Pirox Archaeology bot to say ingame a lot of stuff. This causes massive player reports and also can be parsed because all are the same messages. So it's easy for Blizzard to parse messages like, let's say "digging <z,x,y> at distance <b>" and throw a banhammer there.

Only thing that concerns me is that this incident has brought a lot of attention on archaeology botters and thus all legit players that are digging sites and cross with one of our botted ones will look upon us with more suspicion than ever. So it'll be more difficult to stay under the radar than before. Botting is always about running in stealth mode, and stealth is easier if nobody looks. This puts a lot of eyes upon us, so it's bad news, being banned or not.

At least us gatherers can relax and enjoy being out of the spotlight ;D.
