Info before buying

So I use to bot with Shadowbot last year and I got my account banned after botting on 2 accounts on the same computer 12 hours a day for about a month and selling all the gold. Im looking to get back into WoW again but im still wanting to bot on the accounts, which i will only be using these accounts for. This isn'ta is Honorbuddy safe post which I assume you get at least 10 times a day. This is a how successful is using this bot and the precautions you can take to prevent bans so I have a few questions. Im also going to use Shadowbot in my questions since its really the only bot im use to working with for a long time.

Can the Bot be used in the Background? I work on my computer and one thing I didnt like about Shadowbot was that if took control of your mouse making it unable to do much on the computer.

What all can the Bot do? Shadowbot is still in the Alpha section of questing and taking too long to release, does Honorbuddy have a questing function?

How reliable is Honorbuddy, I havent been on Shadowbot for a while but i read the forums everyday and its problems after problems there?

What are some recommendations on how to use Honorbuddy? How to prevent getting caught, how to make the most out of the bot?

What are Sessions when buying Honorbuddy? Theres 1 and 3. Can I upgrade later if needed, how much is it to upgrade?

Is there anything else I should know?

1. Yes. Full Background mode besides other fullscreen games which disable background rendering.

2. Yes, it's really good, but as such programs are there are very few hiccups. If you are running it in the background, you should have your joy.

3. In which way reliable? There are bugs, but if you post them with a log, they get taken care of most of the time. Patches don't take much time, but recently since BLizz implemented some new stuff, they took some time to make sure it is safe for us.

4. There are many guides/Threads about this theme, I won't go further into detail here.

5. 1 Session means one account at any time. Not bound to Account/PC/IP or whatever. 3 means you can run 3 at the same time and so on. You can upgrade at any time and it will always cost the 25/60 or you take 20+ and get Bulk prices, you need to send a mail to [email protected] to request bulk prices.

6. Dunno, we have a huge community. Everything the Bot can't do, a good Programmer will make it possible.

Most reliable and only bot I've used for WoW, but that speaks for itself seeing as I've never been banned with the exception of intense gathering. You won't come across a greater product or community that supports the project.

i'd recommend adopting safer practices than your previous bot as far as hours/day etc. HB is reliable but no botting is without risk. The biggest risk of Honorbuddy is probably close to what you said you were banned for before.

Bot in moderation (per account). Obviously blizzard could tell many accounts are active on the same public IP address, but that wouldn't mean much unless they are always on at the exact same times doing the same thing for hours at a time etc.
The public shared profiles here are good for the most part, and the questing is very developed... But farming is risky. Mitigate your risks by varying duration and intensity of especially gathering but also leveling/pvp/etc. The bot has many little things that can add up to looking like a bot, do what you can to remove some of that.


On that note, if something is a relatively simple thing to do, modify existing or write your own profiles. Leave the hard stuff like daily quests to the experts, but maybe make your gathering slightly less efficient if it means not being banned. I'm fairly certain that its not just player reporting catching gathers, but either way, different paths are less suspect.


People have posted about Quest Bot getting them banned. Don't let it run for hours afk and expect it to be perfect. Blizzard has a history of subtly changing landmarks to mess up the mesh and get bots stuck (just to catch bots?) etc.
Generally, HB needs to be stopped then restarted to correct some of these issues, but in general, things are fixed in short order (It takes someone running each profile after each unannounced change to find flaws, which is hardly something the quest dev can do 24/7)

I recommend the long game in making gold. Right now, most MoP schemes have been adjusted to not be profitable and many profession mats / crafted items aren't very profitable. SO prepare for the next tier/next xpac. Build up old mats for the new toons and MoP mats for the high level toons that are min maxing or starting over. There's sure to be some short gains in the mix to be ready for, but don't expect a ROI of heavy botting immediately.

I personally upgraded from 1 to 3 sessions and it was simple to do, but not automated. Updating to more is as already described: something up to the boss.

My background and biggest piece of advice on the "long game": I started HB late Cata/early MoP and made about a 1M gold in about 7 months, but lost 2 accounts toward 5.2 (gathering 8+ hours/day). One was SoR and other was RAF. Normal accounts seem to draw less attention even doing the same amount of farming and haven't been banned for me ever.
