Inferno Act 1 vs Act 3 in 1.05

Hi, since the ilvl drop rate will be the same in act 1-4, would it be ideal to do act 1 champ run vs act 3 champ run since they will have a chance of dropping the same stuff?
 
Mobs also have the same level = the same equivalent hp/damage. Only difference is the monster abilities and elite density, of which A3 has the highest currently (with the current profiles).
 
It wasn't 100% clear to me in the patch notes that all acts drop the exact same gear. It did say all acts will now drop ilvl 61-63 at the same % given any increase in MP lvl. So does anyone know for sure or can show proof that all acts drop the SAME EXACT gear with any MP lvl increase? Example: Exalted Legendary plans and Radiant Star jeweler designs can now drop act 1?

And I'm guessing without any MP lvl increase everything pretty much stays the same and how it is now?
 
Drops are now based on Monster level, confirmed in blizz blog, so in Act 1,2,3,4 MP1-10 all monsters are l63 and have a chance to drop every item available in the game
 
Only reason to run MP higher than 0 (on act 3) is if you are killing elites under 4seconds.
Then you can bump it 1-2 for an additional 25-50% mf and some chances at an extra item.

Higher than that will just take too long for almost no benefit at all.

If they arent, then it would be worth running Mp1+

They did nerf damage and other things too, and said mp 2-3 would be the same as 1.0.4. Guess we'll have to play around with it.
 
So if all acts will have the same exact mobs/drops. It seems the act with the most elite packs would be the most beneficial as another post stated.

lol that was my next question. If all mobs in act 3 are 63 already then I won't have to change a damn thing.
 
the thing is, it only says about drop rate of ilvl 63 for rare but didn't say anything about legendaries. Remember that ninja patch in which only Act III can drop ilvl 63 legendaries even though act I have small chance of dropping ilvl 63 rares?

so you guys think items are going to lose there value alot now because of this? i mean before half the population couldn't farm a3, not they can just farm a1 right?
 
Basically this means all mobs in all 4 acts of Inferno will be the same degree of difficulty and have the same drop chances. It's up to you to pick which Act you want to farm in. They are nerfing all Inferno mobs' damage by 25% and also reducing all defensing player buffs by 15-25% so that you can play "fun" specs to farm instead of only tank specs.
