Incomming ban (I think)

Hi guys.

I was farming mote of Harmony with my grinding bot. Meanwhile, i was taking a shower, when i got back i saw this dude saying: "Dude stop it allready" - "3 guys have allready flown over to report you".. I could'nt answer because i was in the shower, and when i saw it and tried, he was offline.

Should i make a ticket to Blizzard saying that i think those guys are wrong or, I need some tips very fast!
 
Just don't bot for the next days. Do some human stuff on your character. We don't know 100% what flags you for ban, but getting reports is definitely one! Maybe even be social. Atleast bots never do that! ;)
 
I know, but i was only botting for 30 minutes or so and when i answered he was offline! So i've submitted a ticket to Blizzard where I'm defending myself, i don't know if this is good or bad, but i feel that if i dont react on a player reporting me, i would have no chance getting my account back. I mean, they'll see that i was there and wasn't botting.

I'll give you guys a heads up with this!
 
I think putting in your own ticket was a bad idea, minesthis gave some pretty sound advice
 
If it was me I wouldn't have said anything to blizzard until they made the first move.
 
Just cancelled the ticket. But what should i do, if i get banned? Should i call them or?
 
these plugins might help you in the future called log me out and shut up. helps when you are botting in populated places. These help when people whisper you. here are the links,

I would wait and see if blizzard calls you out for botting other than that I would not say anything more about it. could of been some body just messing with you, good luck and hope the links help you out in the future.

there is a fix for the shut up plugin on page 18 on the form post that will make this plugin work.

My advice: stop panicking and freaking out. Your ticket only called more attention to yourself. If you're this paranoid about losing your account, you shouldn't be botting on it.
 
just wait and see what happens, ive had similar issues before and its turned out to be nothing. Im sure if you do get a permanent ban people here will be able to advise you as to how to appeal (never done it before)
 
Yeah, thanks for your tips guys! As i said earlier, i cancelled the Ticket. I wont be botting the next couple of days, thats for sure.

#Riverratt - Thanks man! Yeah i do have Logmeout and i had the Shut up one but wasn't able to set it up. But no ban yet, and its been 4 hours, i guess we'll see within the next 36 hours if there is a ban or not, but i'll play manually from now on till next week or so..

Don´t Shit your Pants! Keep Cool if they do something (Blizzard) then reply them.
 
*UPDATE*: I went to the place again to manually farm, and guess what? The same guy whispers me, but this time i was able to answer! What a jerk he is!

Btw, would it weak my case if im there when Blizzard is "overwatching" me? I mean, i am playing manually..

not really, hes just seeing if you're botting... that's not really a jerky thing to do.
 
Well, to me, its spying and harrashment.. So it's kinda jerky i think, but i think it's good that i was able to answer this time.. Thats my pointe.. :-)
 
Another fresh update: I added him to friends, and he got back online, and i asked "Sup?" - "Want to keep the harrashment up?" After this he said sorry and explained himself.. But im sure that he did report me, so we'll see in the next couple of days..

I still think you're handling it wrong. A successful botter is as anonymous as possible. Don't interact with other players any more than necessary, don't call attention to anything you're doing, don't get Blizzard involved EVER. So far, you've done all three of those things, mostly because you overreacted to a /tell. Just ignore the tells, but remember what you were doing when you got it and avoid that activity for awhile. Also remember that Blizz doesn't respond to reports immediately. They flag your account, then monitor it for suspicious activity for awhile, then ban you at a random time. That way you can never know what got you banned.
 
I was in one of those Isle of Conquest Call to Arms where Russians farmed the bots (I wasn't botting it) and all bots that got farmed at the graveyard (~8) got reported by almost every Alliance player in the Battleground. One of them was from my server. I made note of his name just to see if he would get banned or not. A few months later he still logs on now and then and he probably received 30 reports in less than 10 minutes.
 
Here's a simple fact for you...

You clearly care too much about your account to be botting on it. If you can't handle being banned and you're flipping your shit over this, you need to stop botting. Plain and simple.

If someone reports you, either stop botting or move on. In most cases, talking to someone after they've reported you for botting will just lead to digging yourself into a deeper hole.

The best suggestion you'll get in this thread is to stop botting, you obviously care way too much about the account.

There's also probably 100+ threads on these forums that can give tips for situations similar to yours. The only consensus you'll find is that there's no right way to handle this situation. If they did report you, you're probably already screwed and there's nothing you can do.

Blizz has heard every excuse in the book, and if it's your first ban, you can get it turned to a 72 hour, and that's the best you can hope for.

I dunno why you are freaking out, no where in the TOS does it say you have to respond to someone sending you a tell. I can't tell you how many times I come back to my computer after a good 12hours of farming and I've missed tells from guildies and randoms and who cares! The only time it matters is when you get an email from blizzard, they won't send you an in game tell you'll get a temp 72 hour ban and an email/ticket asking you to explain yourself. If it was for chat or some accusation I would just say you had chat turned off, many plugins and addons support this feature. I've had multiple bans overturned because I've said my "daughter" was playing and I told her not to talk to strangers, this was just farming I wouldn't use this excuse for raiding though lol. Anyways like they said chill your tits and quit botting because you're overreacting and freaking out over nothing
