No argument here. PF “WAS” the best among the bots that I have tried. But heavy emphasis on “WAS”. I cannot grab an old beat up “accident waiting to happen” Hyundai that takes me from point a to point b when I need, and compare it to a brand spanking new Porsche that doesn’t even start. apple and orange here. I will hold on to my own comparison until the new “working” version of PF is released.
As far as I see, most of you are just the same, whiners and A$$ kissers, just happened to be on the opposite sides.
I understand how the process works, and how difficult it is to hack a program developed by another person, like trying to open a vault with multiple keys and combinations with only your tongue. I know it will take time. So I am not complaining. But as a customer, it doesn’t mean that I am satisfied either. So, I was amazed to find out that some of you are 100% satisfied with a product that doesn’t work. Appreciating their effort is okay, but thanking them may sound too much and bordering a$$kissing to me. They don't do it for free or as a public service. They are professionals. They own the business - I am a client, I give them my money - they give me their product. Nothing more. If we don't agree, we settle it, or I move and they find other customer. There is no attachment, just business. Right now, I am not satisfied, but not ranting either. I am just tolerating it and giving them a chance to fix it. But hey, it’s you. You may be the one who are ticklish enough and laugh at every raindrops, but others may be irritated by it too, even by the sound of it. So I understand you both.
Another reason why I am not complaining is that whining as I see it, doesn’t make it faster or shorter. They are having a problem *****ing it, otherwise, it should have been finished long time ago. No business owners want to hear complaints, and lose customers. They want their business going. Each customer is a walking advertisement and brings other customer, increasing their revenue. You could see that no staff is telling their customers to find a different bot. It’s the other group who are telling that. Sure the fee is small, but I highly doubt if these so called "defenders" will cover for the lost revenue and pay twice the amount if those other customers walked away. Again, they are merely customers, not business owners.
Niantic has more money and can afford high caliber programmers, their programmers get paid more. As I see it, the delay can only mean one thing: Niantic programmers are just kicking their butts right now, and probably stressed too. Otherwise, their business should be going right now. SO I am am not whining, they are the ones who has the potential of losing business, not me, and my rant will not make them smarter than what they are now.
As I see it, bot business will die soon. In the future, there will be more high level players who achieved their level by normal playing, and bot will not matter anymore. A player with three botted 35+ level account cannot hope to defend a gym against a single normal non botted level 25 player. Those mighty Dragonites are so easy to beat. And it only takes 710,000 XP to get to level 25, while it takes 6,000,000 to level up to 35. One level 35 player is equivalent to almost 9 level 25 players, you could start 9 accounts from 1 to 25 by the time that another person level up to 35. and it only needs one of them to take down a gym populated with three level 35 pokemon.
When players realized this, banning may not be required at all. While the bot programmers are still trying to make their bot work, Niantic is probably already working on new update. By the time that these folks come out with a solution, new update could already be on the way out, and more down time follows. Combined these two, and people will ask, why do they still need to bot?
