In reference to "Ladies and Gentleman this is NOT a support thread."

I think they're worried that people won't see it unless it's bumped by other people but they could simply redirect everyone using the "administrators want you to view this thread", although that could annoy some.

I think they need some type of java advertisement at the top where it states the current version available (latest version) and if you put your mouse over the ad it will have a drop down box of the changelog and a download link.
 
Agreed. Something simple like "Latest version is xxxxx released on XXX". Though with the autoupdate feature when you start the bot most people will know when the bot is updated. Autoupdate through the bot if you wish, i personally don't, or visit the website and download. It's not so much the thread that irks me. It was the whole "this is not a support thread" thing. If you don't want people posting thier issues with the current release in a thread then keep it closed. There are no responses like "This is not a thank you thread". Know what i mean?
 
I think it's just lazyness, they forget to close the thread because I think sometimes they want a burst of feedback just to see how things are, if they closed the thread and something was wrong with the release everyone would spam with new threads.. I guess it helps with hotfixes.
 
Correct :) It keeps everything in one place. I just don't see the issue i guess.

It is not laziness and we do not appreciate your recent attitude towards the forum.

The thing is, we don't close HB release threads until a new version comes out.
It's fixed.
