I've just had a message in game (whisper) from supposedly a GM telling me to enter my account details on eublizzardGM.com and then verify my account. Is this standard procedure or is it someone trying to scam my account?
Thanks,
Jamie

But how would they know if they are not blizzard (not trying to be difficult or anything but need to be sure). The website looks like the battle.net site.

/who the name and it will be a level 1 no doubt :P

I did so and they were either cross realming ie Blizzard, or logged out as it said "0 players total" immediately after. Since i'm entirely stupid then, I have already changed my password; anyone know how to change my security questions?

Blizzard will never ask for your account details, second a GM whispering you will now days pop up in a special chat box, and their name will never be Blizzlardo, and the color of the whisper will be blue? i think. but you will know if it is a real GM.

a GM will always start with a greeting.

like "Hello *charname* are you there? do you have time to chat?" or something.

This just shows how good some phishing tactics are.

Me being a sucker...

I feel stupid now not to have noticed, and even more so for going along with it. I have changed my password, added an authenticator and am now about to change my battle.net email address - hopefully that will work.

I'm quite impressed that they even noticed - in future i'll be more reserved with how much I put on the AH; thanks for your feedback guys; my heart rate has now reverted back to normal.
