Im so sick of this no support bot.WHERE is the act 3 profiles?

Not true. (Maybe for diablo it is) but in wow i used a bot that literally you press a button and go. full questing 1-85
 
The OP is just as retarded as all the people constantly kissing the devs' ass.

Being the idiot that OP is, he is absolutely right, however, that devs should warn users before buying Demonbuddy that:

1. Profiles are 100% necessary
2. Lootrules are 100% necessary
3. Plugins are 90% necessary
4. The bot devs don't provide any of those, and you have to rely on some random guy or pay money to third parties to get them
5. If you don't want to do that, basic coding skills are required for all of those, and programming in C# is required for plugins
6. The CPU usage for DB is higher than a full-blown D3 client, which limits the number of clients you can actually run as opposed to the number of licenses
7. DB relies on an exclusive remote "nav server" as a means to prevent DB piracy (get angry if you want, this is exactly the definition of hardcoded, unavoidable DRM). this means if they ever got taken down by Blizzard, decide to call it quits or just stop updating Demonbuddy regularly you would be left with a useless brick of a program, and say goodbye to all the work and coding you put into developing the things that don't provide, too.

The buying page implies many things, on purpose or not, about DB that are simply not true. The userbase should deal with the fact that these "descriptions" on the buy page are incredibly misleading.

Demonbuddy can be used for Leveling, Gold farming and Item farming!

I like the "IT CAN" part, it just doesn't tell you that it CAN be used for all of that IF you have the plugins, lootrules and routines, and never mentions that you'll have to either rely on people's kindness or pay for private routines for all of those if you're not a coder.

If it drops, we pick it up!!! And we have vendoring, salvaging and stashing as well!

Yeah, all of which require "rules" that at the moment have to be coded by hand or AGAIN, rely on people's kindness, third parties, and hope that what other people share suits your needs. The only alternative is learning how to code them yourself.

I don't PERSONALLY have a problem with coding my stuff because it's not a problem for me, but you're all really stupid for insulting some guy who doesn't. It's not so out of this world that some guy with poor english and no coding skills goes to Demonbuddy.com, reads all that, legitimately thinks he's set for botting, pays and then finds out that he just bought something that is useless for him. And yeah you can say "well he could've tried the 1? trial", but honestly if I was him I'd still be fucking pissed that they didn't clearly and unmistakeably warn me of all these things before buying.

It's underhanded and honestly even if these things are not a problem for me personally, I don't feel it's the right way to treat your customers.

And if you want us to rely in the forums and community to make the bot work, FIX the absolute lack of moderation in the forums, which makes finding things and useful information here almost impossible because it's filled with useless ERMAGERD DID THEY NERF SARK? IS BLIZZ TRACKING ME? IS IT SAFE TO BOT? 987/987 BANNED!!!1 HOW TO MAKE MONEY FREE? threads. Also it would be really nice if you made some rules about being outright aggressive and insulting, some people are in the habit of outright insulting and laughing at unexperienced people who make threads sometimes. Unexperienced people who are, you know, customers of yours, maybe you oughta look into that if you, again, want us to rely on the forums and the community.

A little communication from the devs would reaaaaaally go a long way too, we've been here with constant crashes for many days and you guys didn't even find the time to say "hey, we're working on it" to your customers. You pushed the update out today and didn't even update the changelog.

my 2 cents, feel free to rage or whatever, i think i've been pretty reasonable in my complaints.

P.S. : Would you people stop saying "HURR DURR UR A TROLL STOP TROLLING BAD ATTEMPT AT TROLLING" every time someone says something you disagree with? Do you even know what trolling means? It's embarrasing and stupid.

I just want to say as someone that has actually written a couple profiles including Act 2 and 3 champion hunting. The complete lack of a guide or faq to write profiles is extremely frustrating. The only thing you can do is keep looking over other people's profiles till you have an idea how to do it. For a program that is completely reliant on the user base to make profiles it is extremely disappointing to have no detailed instructions how to do so. We don't even have a simple list of all the profile tag's. They have a post that says it has all the available profile tags but in reality only has about half. And the half they do list are not given any real instruction of what they do. If it wasn't for nice people on the IRC channel no way would I have been able to do anything.
 
The OP comes across as a douch?, and a twat - but he does have a point (even if it's vague). The majority of the work here is done by volunteers, and for a product people pay for, I do agree that the support might be sluggish at times. And the features might be very lacking.

Let's just thank god for Giles and Radonic eh? :-)

I have friends computer illiterate... all I did was point them to this site, they have the bot up and running in less than a hour with all that is on these forums making money? SO "he just bought something that is useless for him" .. its not Useless at all a moron can piece 2g what it takes to use this.. he wants specific stuff, it said no where in buying "Runs Act3 elite farming" (PS friends also leveled accounts 1-60 in under 50 hours) FOR being NEW to bots and know nothing, they seemed to have no issue aside from, the obvious of not lacking common sense and the ability to read.
A little communication from the devs would reaaaaaally go a long way too, we've been here with constant crashes for many days and you guys didn't even find the time to say "hey, we're working on it" to your customers. You pushed the update out today and didn't even update the changelog.

If you looked there is like at least 15 posts or so of devs saying they know their was a issue and it was in progress for being fixed... EVERY TIME THEY ANSWER STUPID POSTS ITS TIME DEVIATED AWAY FROM WORK.

Change-logs probably weren't updated, because they did not want to officially release it, if you look in the 221 thread there is still issues with crashing? would you rather them say they fixed it and then it still exists and people flame and rage more? It probably was a unofficial release that was placed up either A. by accident, B. to let people who follow it test it in a more public manner, because they weren't experiencing issues and more people = more chance of bug finding.


Can this thread get closed... it is pointless and full of trolls OP wants something that was not advertised and he is upset he cant have it and is really rude and lazy in a means to acquire it. simple/

Actually, if you did look around, you'd find 15 posts or so aswell, with the only support of the crash being Toni saying "disable plugins and try again", which is the standard answer for every issue around here. It obviously wasn't the plugins, as with the new version of DB it's running smooth again.

The Devs are doing an average job, no doubt about it. They are most likely also putting their majority of work into HB at the moment - but people need to pull their brownnosing heads out the dev's arse, and realise that this product is at times lacking, and support sluggish.

I am sure that even the devs and mods is aware of this to an extent.

Nonetheless, the OP still is an idiot - we have great people like Radonic, Giles, Gardettos etc who actually made working profiles and plugins, so I'm not complaining. I even donated to Radonic, cos I did feel obliged to do it, as I think he is doing what the devs on DB should be doing. Same as Giles, but I can't donate everyone, so I just picked one :-)

There was like 2 posts acknowledging the problem, not 15. And come on, taking 10 minutes here and there (again, look to Giles for proper communication) to answer a few questions and keep people updated is not only good service, its basic customer service. And not very hard. And would that REALLY take away from any dev work? When thinking of the coder for this bot, im not thinking about a Neo type character slaving over the keyboard, chucking Red Bull and going on a facebook-coding wired in 32 hour streak (see The social Network for reference). Anyways, DB is an ok bot, only made usable by a few excellent people. Things could and should improve by alot. Do i think thats going to happen, no not really but ill eat my hat if it does.

Good post. Very reasonable imo

I think the DB team should be very thankful that they got Giles and Cigarcc and all the other people that enjoy helping with new plugins, profiles etc for the community. These are the people that make DB their money, without them I think 90% of the customers would be very dissapointed with this bot and prob call paypal for a chargeback.

If you looked there is like at least 15 posts or so of devs saying they know their was a issue and it was in progress for being fixed... EVERY TIME THEY ANSWER STUPID POSTS ITS TIME DEVIATED AWAY FROM WORK.

I agree and the guides and faq side of things leaking but whats frustrating me the most is the fact that some of the base code of DB is pure utter shit and you have no way to get around it with plugins because you cant interface with it. Just look at the unstucker, path-finding, looting, combat basically all of these are garbage. While you can replace the combat and looting part the path-finding(hint the mare fact that the bot has to rely on a predefined set of coordinates is a pretty epic fail even more so that while doing so he still manages to get stuck) part is tricky.. and doing something about the unstucker is down right impossible at this point. So my judgement on this "framework" because honestly that's what it is at this point is that it is not worth the initial investment at this point of time.

This is a little (okay, a lot) blunt, but I can't exactly argue with it. There are a number of problems with looting, path generation, unstucking etc. Quite frankly, I'm not certain why the bot client isn't open sourced. I mean, it relies on a proprietary nav server to function, so why not let our resident geniuses dig into the code and maybe figure some things out? Are they worried it will be reverse-engineered and someone will create their own nav server and start a competing service? That seems unlikely.

Anyway, OP is still a toolbag full of dicks.

I wish some of you that QQ, actually botted before these guys came around years ago, or wrote your own stuff in autoit... You might find it easy to appreciate the amount of hours saved, for a mere $30-50... the bot is really simple... with all the community has given it.. you can grab 3 plugins, 1 profile, 1 loot rule. Start your char on the right quest, hit start and select combat routine.... That is pretty fucking dumb'd down... ALOT of other bots charge monthly or redic prices compared to these guys, considering it is lifetime support...
