Sorry for your loss. I know how upsetting this can be, Happened to me a few years ago. They also perm banned my friend who never botted and had done every quest in the game just for playing with me. She was devastated, Blizzard can be a harsh bunch of bastards.

Its ok guys, Overwatch release is next week I lost my 10 year old account, I'm not even mad, I've been botting safe for 5 years and knew this would happen eventually.

The Honorbuddy team says you should not bot on an account you don't want to lose, so they are not to blame. We are *****ers, we got caught, deal with it.

I am just thinking about all the raiding guilds now that suddenly lost a bunch of members during mythic progression, that must suck, also for the non-botters. Blizzard is hurting their own reputation, because botters have always been a part of this game, including goldsellers. They are just a bit pissed off I think that their WoW token plan is not the golden nugget they expected it to be.

today i lost my main account which is 10 years old, 18k achiev points, thousands of € invested but im not even as angry as you mate

you stil have your archievments just make a new account on the same battlenet and the archivments wil not be gone also you keep your heirlooms and mammoth etc

they banned an account i havnt used in months and has just been sitting around doing nothing .. the bot is being detected by blizzard . they are scanning youre computer and it looks like it dont matter if you use it on that account or not ... ive used on a 7 day free try on a account i had .. was only questing using tuanha warrior.. lol i canceled the sub a few weeks ago on my other banned account

I can explain why this is happening.
The bot software is DETECTABLE - As soon you run this while logged into your wow account, you will be 'marked' in some way.
You might have botted on another character, but if the bot software has been open, while you logged into your main account. It will look like you're using it on that account aswell.

Yeah so basically I've read don't use HB right now. Honestly Karma is a bitch. I did use this bot about 3 years ago. I only used it for leveling my professions. I didn't use it to sell gold or anything. It was to just help me get caught up as i don't have 16 hours a day everyday to play wow i get to play randomly a few times. So, for me being able to catch up on professions was great. I did log on the bot and was looking to see what the garrison thing was, i ran it for like 2 minutes but was clicking on it the whole time. I stopped it but never re-start wow so I guess it was still running in the back ground (but not started). There was no way that anyone saw me on this moving around crazy or nothing as i never left my Garrison and it was all of 2 minutes. I didn't "use" the bot for any type of personal gain. I mean not as they are accusing me at least. I did run it like i said for the 2 minutes. So, I do deserve a punishment for having it on my PC and opening it up. I think it sucks its 6 months instead of some sort of 72 hour ban, or warning seeing as if they actually did an investigation as they state they did. They could clearly see Ive never used this bot other than a profession gain and haven't even done that in 3 years. So basically just opening it up they will ban you. You do not even have to use it. They won't tell you anything either just bye you banned for 6 months. They told me clearly they will not give me any information and they have evidence that i was boting yet they will not offer me any "evidence" They said in the email they are going to strip my gold, and achievements. I also asked for a refund on legions seeing as I'm banned and wont be able to receive my purchase and they basically told me to go F myself. So, now they have my account locked and wont give me my money back for something i wont even be able to play till a ban is lifted. I personally don't want to ever play wow again. I think they are full of shit and are hacking/scanning our PC's illegally and its ok for them to do it but not us. WHICH IS BS! Point is I totally understand getting banned or in trouble for boting. I work my ass off to get what i have (other than the profession part) and still get my ass handed to me on a PVP server lol. I'm not a big wow gamer I totally suck at it. I have no gear and I cant even fly over in the last expansion area yet. anyway rant over lesson learned lol.

Paragraphs.. good grief. The bot hooks into the game executable. It doesn't matter if you started it up once for 10 seconds. You may as well have been botting for years. If Blizzard decides to ban botters they can at any moment. They just choose not to.
Why? You may ask.
Well, botters help run the economy and make the prices on servers more affordable and in the long run allow casuals to play more... casual. When a ban wave happens, the AH on servers are nearly wiped clean.

Honestly, thats just what people are assuming. They could have been careless in their gold transfers or interaction with that account on their main. Prior to the banwave, I was clearing my guild bank with my main account while my bot continued to clear. My botting account was caught, my main account not. So, in theory, that debunks that hypothesis of warden detection.

For good measure, people are on here crying that they only used combat routines or rotations.. thats still considered botting 100%. They may as well have been fully afk, because once you inject on an account, that account will be banned at some point. Its not a matter of will I be banned, its a matter of how long can I get away with it and how much can I make before they catch me type of situation.

Songs called Runaway. lol no, but I catch your drift. I think it is on rare occasion blizzard will ban by association. It's almost like banning someone for being in a group with someone ranting in trade chat and spamming over and over. Or, someone completely abusing the vote kick system, harassing random pug members, because thats your friend, should you be banned as well?

Like I said, few and far between.

People are claiming that their main accounts have been banned as well that they did not bot on. I find it hard to believe, because I keep encountering people who think CRs are justifiable and not really botting.
