Calm down.

There are many different reasons it can be happening. If I were to guess I would say it is a new type of ban that is not permanent. Otherwise they would tell you you are permanently banned.

I am gettin the same thing but from what I have read Niantic is probably locking out (Freezing) accounts to investigate, I don't think I am permanently banned now, but I will be soon LMAO!

Sure it could be a ban. But you don't know how long it lasts for until they contact you.

Now this is entirely possible, they would definitely prevent new data from being written to an account while they scrub old data. And they could be looking for a common denominator to definitively identify botters and these are obvious accounts to look at.

But again, pure speculation.

This is no ban, I had this like 3 times everyday and I just relogg after half an hour and it's fine, only thing is I'm catching every pokemon flee, and I can't take any pokestops ... Feels like a permanent soft ban!

Just opened a new Account and my old account is still holding the gym down the road from me so just be patient, Niantic wants us to nerd rage for a bit to think about our actions and consequences. I don't know what they are thinking Nintendo taught me how to cheat with the Game Genie, I blame them....

Despite some of the replies here, the general consensus on the net is that this "error" is that of a banned account. In hoping people start shading what settings they generally ran and where. I think it's going to be the best way that we can gather information on whether ban is avoidable.

Just wanted to say that I have had accounts permanently banned in ingress and none of them if i recall received any formal correspondence regarding the ban. It jut went from working one day, to not working the next. Banwave was obvious as all groups expressed the same findings and Niantic refused to comment only very indirectly addressing that changes were made.

Basically what I did wrong hop locations coast to coast not taking travel time into consideration, also bot was running while the the new update was released so when I woke up it was error code 1 after the other. I updated was able to login on my phone but was soft banned so I relogged a few times there after to check on it, after the 3rd time, my main account wouldn't load account data. So I am pretty sure I forfeited my account, I knew the possibilities and no I am not mad or upset..Just Don't do what I did but when I finally figured out how to run a bot I went overboard like an idiot and became addicted hahaha..
