So I was thinking, I use the same toon but with different profiles. One day I might be farming leather, the next questing 1-60. Every time I use a different profile I check the forums to see if there's a new version, if there is download and edit the protected items section in order to include the items I need protecting for that toon.

Would it not be better to have a separate file for protected items? This way you can load up different files for different toons and no nasty surprises when you find it's been selling all your loot.

There is a ProtectedItems.xml in the root folder of HB2, but some things are not clear about the priority of that file.

In order to use that though I guess I'd have to either use a different copy of HB for each toon or overwrite it every time.

There's nothing wrong with having more copies of HB2. Just use the same mesh folder and you're set :)

This could be used to load Protected Items, Blackspots, etc
