I7-3770k oc maxed with 9 bots? :/

windows 7 enterprise 64 bit
4 sticks, each 8 gb. doesn't matter in which order i place them or if i place 1, 2 or 4 - it always shows 50% of GB. also in Bios there isn't shown more.

But RAM is not my problem, i am fine witch 16 GB and it would be enough for 10 D3.

Maybe my Gforce GTX 560 is the bottleneck

Bios Settings are default and i have a button to automatically overclock my cpu.

I haven't seen anything in the bios setup that looks strange, beside that i wouldn't even know it.

I also think your gpu could be the issue. You could check http://www.techpowerup.com/downloads/SysInfo/GPU-Z/ to check if your gpu is reaching a high % usage, it could explain why there's such s sudden peak when going from 9 to 10 and 10 to 11 bots.

There is no logical explanation for having 4x8 gb ram and your system recognizing only 16. You should reinstall them, if they are different models, or different companies , use same model ones in either even or odd slots, just like that: 1234 memory slots, you have 2 ram cards from kingston and 2 from anything else, place them 1kingston2else3kingston4else. Also, even if the sound or click like well installed, make sure no one is phisically elevating at all from the other modules. Sometimes is really complicated to get your ram connected , in my mb is for sure.

I am using gtx 680, which is better than your gpu, and I can't use more than 12 at all, so I don't think you'd get a massive improvement changing gpu though, you would find there are other things bottlenecking you.

For Harmacyntire: When I use 9 bots my cpu is always below 50%, probably closer to 40 than 45-50. I would make a logical asumption that I could run 18 bots easily, right? No way mate. 12 is the absolute max for me. The cpu usage goes wildly up with every bot above this number for me.

For rixx: my db usage is usually at 1,2-2,2 % per db. That being said, when several bots are doing townrun sequence it can jump to 3x and 5x. 12% cpu for one process is the maximum I've witnessed myself. Diablo 3 usage goes from 2,5 per to 4,5 each, though when starting it usually goes far far higher.

Try the system with ram only in slots 1+3, should read 16 ... then try only slots 2+4 , should read 16

mobo might have a bad channel?

slot 1+3 reads only 8, should read 16 (same model)
slot 2+4 also only 8, should read 16 (same model)
slot 1+2+3+4 is the only option that reads 16, but should do 32 (2 kingston, 2 corsair vengeance)

i cannot place vengeance next to to my cooler, it's too big. i have to start with 2 smaller kingston... :/

what means bad channel?

@Saidou: will check this at home, thx

@pimpampum: maybe my gpu got problem, yes.

attached a new screenshot... something is lagging me out with 6+ bots.
Today i switched back to settings that made me run 7 bots without problem (yesterday), but today i get issues already with bot nr. 7 - seems it is getting worse -.-

Which windows 7 do you have?
Only windows 7 pro+ does support 32 gb's of RAM or more.
If you have Home premium of what ever its called Windows will only see 16 GB's :)

but i already tried two 8 GB sticks and only see one. I don't think my windows is the problem.

will try this when i am at home

You should take out all but one stick and boot up, shut down completely unplug the machine and push the start button. Put in one more stick and boot up again then make sure the next stick shows up. Repeat the process until all memory is installed.

however, i don't think we are moving in the right direction.
RAM is a issue, yes.

But the bigger issue is the Diablo 3 setup that lags me out with 6 or 7+ bots which shouldn't happen :(

/edit: ok, i am dumb, ofc the GPU is the bottleneck, 997 MB of 1024 used with 6 bots -.-

Oh, I thought you already figured that out lol ^^

But you really need Windows pro + if you want to use 32 GB's of ram :)

I had the same problem as you. 7 bots perfectly fine, 8 .. NO.
You need a cheap 2gb gpu to fix it, nothing expensive.( well that will cap you at 14 bots i guess?)
I changed my 9600gt( 1gb) with gt430 (2gb) and now its working great.

Did you install components by yourself? Ever heard about electrostatic discharge or ESD? If not, google it a bit. Your body electricity can harm PC components, especially RAMs!

i don't think that every 4 RAM got harmed.
motherboard is new, ram is only few months old. i have to check other possibilities before i assume the worst case... because that doesn't make sense

I can run 8 bots on 3570K but CPu spikes to 95-100%. My GPU is Radeon HD 4850HD 1GB. If i change GPU to 2gb will it decrease CPU usage?

I hope you read that, I have read almost all topics and most of these problems happened to me, so here we go.

I had 8 bots running and computer was fine, when I open the last one, lag start like crazy. Sooooo I found that this last bot was using a non tweaked d3pref. Replaced this file, problem solved.

About the ram. Some windows 7 CANT read more than 16gb, I know that by fact cause I upgraded from 8 to 32 and had to change my Windows 7 to Ultimate version. Just type windows 7 max ram or something like that on google and check what version you need.

I am with a 2500k @ 4.8ghz running 9 bots. I can push to 10, but dont know if will be good :P

Good luck there!

I have GTX 560 TI 2GB version by Palit and it is able to run more than 9. Maybe it's the extra memory, although this seems strange to me, since memory usually plays a role in 3d editing or large resolutions and botting involves neither. This is interesting, i'd like to see the GPU usage readings of people who run more than 10 on a single pc.

already done and posted here. my win7 is fine, supports the RAM.
if one bot wouldn't have tweaked d3prefs i would see it immediately because the graphics are minimized.

Nothing new for me, sorry.

Will check a new (and better) GPU soon and give a feedback here if it's working (i assume so...)

Why not get one more GTX 560 and SLI them :)

for me it is clear: if my GPU memory 1 GB is full load on 6 bots, it can never handle up to 10 bots...

so i need to take a new, faster (maybe OC) GPU with at least 2GB

I doubt that. Only scenario that i can think of, where CPU does any video processing instead the GPU is in a Virtual Machine(VM). Try to OC your cpu and get a better heatsink / thermal grease.

You cannot overclock the memory size you've got. If that's the bottleneck, then you can either get one more of the same GPU and SLI them, or get a new gpu with 2GB of memory. There are quite a few versions of that GPU around, what is the core clock of yours? 822/870 Mhz?

There you have one, 12 on. Its a nvidia gtx 680. I wouldn't buy it for a botting-only computer, its too expensive and you can get the job done with a lower budget.

Whatever my problem is, it is not the gpu. I wish I know what it is.

Whoa, wait a moment. I completely forgot for the default resolution in the d3prefs settings i gave you. If you are using your defaults or whatever else, there is one more thing you gotta do:

DisplayModeWidth "800"
DisplayModeHeight "600"

These have to be 800 and 600, as this is the resolution the game will use even when re-sized by YAR or whatever. I just tested it on my default resolution and it doubled my memory usage. If yours is 800x600, then i don't know. Ran out of ideas for you, bro :)
