Theoreticaly, Lets say you had the best gpu, ram,MB,"alright watercooling aka corsair H100",powersupply,case(for air venting).

The only difference between the two machines is the CPU,which is i5 3570k OC vs i7 3770k OC.

How many bots can each CPU handle?

i5 3570k OC ?

i7 3770k OC ?

Lets just use wow for referance atm, if you know about d3 too, then please include.

They will run exactly the same amount. The difference between the i7 and i5 isn't much when it comes to gaming.

I have i5 3570k and my friend got the i7 3770k , we have the same motherboard and gamecard. and we both cant see any big different, he had like 5-6 more fps on BF3 UTRA settings.
but im no pro at this but i would take i5 3570k :)

EDIT: bec it is cheaper

1 more thing, i overclocked my CPU to 4.4 GHZ with my antec k?hler h2o 620, 60-65 degrees Celsius on full load

The I7 is a hex-core I think? Not sure been out of the HW stuff for a while. Well.. It's pretty obvious that the i7 will run more smoothly when running loads of WoW clients. I mean LOADS. :)

I would say the difference between those 2 processors in WoW would be very small. If you want to run a bunch of instances of WoW Id go with the i5 and 8gigs of ram and be set. Ram is gonna make more difference than processor if you are running 3 or 4 instances of WoW at once.
