The GM ticket was funny tbh. I edited it and said it was actually written by the hacker. Like I said earlier I'm a computing student. The people close to me are diabolical trolls. I'm not even mad I think its bloody hilarious. When I was asleep and being hacked I got an e-mail from someone called phat tony pretending to be blizzard rep saying my account was banned. I have a pretty good idea who phat tony is and am in the process of plotting my revenge!

Still, I wonder how effective that could really be? If I look at any account that has 280k that isn't on one of the bigger servers (aka GDKP), I would have to assume it's a gold farmer. Almost all gold farmers I know wouldn't allow enough time to get all the gold/items back, so you could safely assume that the plan wouldn't work from the start.

guys... if ur gonna be botting professionally - you need minimum 3 computers. why?

1 for botting (10+ accts)
1 for playing / forums / daily use (if u only have a couple of bots, 2 comps is fine)
1 for stuff that you do or go to that may give you bugs...

ie: This computer I use for personal. I go to wow, wow forums, my guild forums, buddyforums, paypal only.
bot computer(s): wow, buddyforums
other computer: torrents, limewire, itunes, messengers, 5 antivirus / xxx ware programs, and this is where I search for buyers.

I suggest at least 2 computers, 3 if you have a lot of accts

I don't sell my gold I spend it on in-game stuff. Just talked to the GM's there got all my items back. No gold though so I'm starting another ticket.

It is very possible he does not have a keylogger on his system and that he even fell victim to phishing. Coming from a person who has hacked at least 20 or 30 accounts back in high school (I dont do it anymore dont worry) for the gold I know you dont need to do phishing, it is not that reliable anymore.

If he was signed up to a forum and that forum held his email he used for WoW, and someone hacked the forum and got his pass and email. well... do the math, email is there and the pass for the hacked forum and his email are the same so hacker logs into said email.

Now he can find all the blizzard emails he has recieved and derive his account login. Next he searches "password" in the email search box and find other websites that send his email to him when he signs up for the site. So if his pass for the email is not the same for WoW the hacker still has a chance at finding the right one. You can even go to facebook and request a password as they do not reset the pass just send it to you in email then try that pass on the account. Like I said, there is more than 1 way to get into an account. And yes an Authenticator does help allot.

It would be noobish if I used ones that caused conflicts but seeing as I don't its not noobish. I just run a clean PC. Using anti spyware along with anti virus and anti malware software is just good practice.

right, non of them cause conflicts, some of them used to and I fixed that. the comp still runs great for a comp that I got for cheap =) But I see all types of stuff pop up when I go to gold selling sites and other sites that I thought were safe. If my main 1 doesn't catch it, another 1 does

I got a witty hacker. Gm's had it all back sharpish anyway so I'm not bothered at all.

Well atleast you got your stuff back mate, When i got back into WoW i tried logging in and noticed that the details had been changed, and when i got my account back i also noticed that i had over 200 pages of re-imbursed items from the GM, but the items that i were getting back were doubling. I would open a mail with my emblems and currency and then about 50 pages later i would get them again?! Was awesome! got 15k gold easy!
