been running DB for bout 4 hrs today, got a PM from someone i didnt recognize, saying something like "Hi I played in a game with you a while back, wanna go farm or key run?" i right clicked their name and hit 'view profile' and got an error msg "No Valid profile could be found for this user" - that made me think its actually Bliz ... I responded saying no thanks i gotta log soon, let it go for 5 mins ish then shut down all bots and logged

havent been using DB very long but went from paragon 30 to 70 very quickly maybe that got me flagged? or tinfoil hat?

running leorics signet on mp10/normal and trinity plugin when this occured....

Don't worry, Blizzard doesn't use cheap tricks like that.

Edit: when you get banned it won't be because you didn't reply (or replied too late) to a whisper.

no ban yet... just paranoia. since i replied to the PM maybe i wont get banned?

..

bliz can not ban people for not replying
nor will they investigate people for not replying.

if they suspect you bot, they will just look at your data, no need for something as silly as a whisper

Def a good point.. but could it not be part of several tests they perform to determine if someone is botting?

I had this happen to me when at some point in time you were in a game with them and they have you saved to their recent player list.

I used to trade with alot of people and lot of people fall off MY recent player but THEY still have me on theirs.

When this happened....I couldnt open their profile through the game but only through the bnet website.

Might be a similar case for you.

lmao, this happens when you don't have the player on your friendslist, then you can check his profile

happened to me, the question was different though, but it was exact same situation. luckily i was at the computer and replied. and that account survived the next banwave, others didn't. was like 5 months ago.
