I have always made the decision to tell the truth, and it has payed off far more often than not. Congratulations on your new journey, it is always great to hear other's success stories. The cool thing about this is that you do not have to worry about what might have happened had you hid the truth and they ever found out.
Thank you also for giving back and thank you for sharing this with us here also.
It is a wonderful thing to accomplish something you are passionate about, When you get that job you love, you never work another day in your life!
