Can I ask how much you were making per month? I only bot for personal gains, but it really does seem like some of you make some serious coin off this game :S
Nice work - would love a key to try it out myself
Around $1500/month profit. Some months I've seen as high as $3500 (like the start of MoP), others as low as $200. I have 12 HB licenses. (4x 3 sessions)
When it's midterms or finals - I tend to not bot at all. When it's summer or xmas breaks I bot like crazy.
I've also lost a crapload of accounts and been told that my ip is a known botting ip. Doesn't stop me. Right after I activate a CD key I assume it's banned. It's just all about how much money it can make before it retires.
The first bit of money goes into a savings for accounts so if/when they ban all of them at once - I can get back up without any issues (and with even more bots than before!). The rest I consider profit. ATM I'm only running three accounts on my laptop when I'm not busy, but I have 19 cd keys unused (battlechest + mop). These three accounts have made me $94.56 (so far that I've sold) since Saturday - including the bot downtime from the patch and patch day. Most of it has been from the lovebirds. I did a really quick simple combat routine specifically for my farming spot, with a plugin to exchange the charms, and let 'em go. Then sold the mounts for crazy money earlier in the week.
When I get my desktop back from my fathers house this weekend I'll be activating 10 more accounts and botting more regularly (going to release some stuff I've been using for the past few months to you guys... just want to test the hell out of it first!).
And for those that ask (I've gotten a LOT of pms...) I do a bunch of different things. 5 manning heroic dungeons, soloing old dungeons, rogue pickpocketing, pet battling, selling accounts, gathering, and even leveling guilds and selling those. I rotate around what they do though. After a while of pickpocketing I might throw a few rogues and dks together with a healer and have them run heroics. Or run a lfr or two, or some pet battles - typically in the same day. Just set up a random schedule for the day and let 'em go at it (reloggers ftw!). IMO makes it seem more human.
Sure I might not make nearly as much as others, but it works for me.
