From the day i botted until this very moment, this is what i have lost and gained

Lost:
1 geared main
1 banker with 300k+
4 farmers
$240.00
countless countless hours of tending

Gains:
5xHB
Lifetime GB

honestly, what would you do in a position like me, i'm receiving ban hammer after ban hammer and i don't know whether or not i should continue to try and bot for some extra lunch money...
 
Seems to me your very unlucky, i guess if i was in your situation i'd call it quits.

better not cause then you would be happy. :)
 
As someone's signature shows, if you are not ready to get banned, don't bot.
 
How have you been getting banned? Are you just using the bot for lvling and gathering? Were you flooding AH? Did you try different things between bans in an attempt to not get caught? Did the accounts have shared information in creation or payment that blizzard could have linked them with?

edit: I'm pretty sure IP doesn't matter

I've lost:
- 3x72hr Bans
- 1xPerma ban (removed)
- Whatever money I've spent, though I wouldn't really say it was lost
 
i never said that i regret botting @ person who used the famous if you cant risk losing it, don't bot, i said should i continue
all banned from gold sales, last one from the scammer, others i have learnt a semi lesson and yeah, we should make a sticky for lost / gains :)

Lost Nothing so far.

so all i can say is great job guys keep it up.
 
I just love love love botting, there is nothing more pleasing than having some mindless minion do the work that I cant be bothered to do ingame.
Haven't really gained anything worth mention yet, as I haven't decided what character I'm going to bot.

To be honest. It is not worth botting. WoW has way more bots than players.

From my experience and botting for past 6 months or so seems like i spent more money and time than i have made. money on time cards 110$ everytime needed a new lifetime 80$ per each account and when they ban like 2 or 3 had to buy 3 more which was another 200$. plus price of gold is bullshit because there is so many damn botters.

So to be honest if your into it for the money you minswell Just go Find a Real Job. Where you dont have to spend more than you make.

But if your doing it for personal use then go right ahead and bot :P

Wow has no where even close to the amount of bots as players. Maybe 5% at most on a really, really good day.
 
For the price i paid for HB to the hours of enjoyment and reward from botting i've had, Making my own profiles, reaping rewards ect.
Yet to have been banned.
I even left my priest grinding for 3 days straight the other evening with fpswares beta CC (granted i forgot to turn it off and got tied up for a few days).
But no bans as of yet, and thousands of gold made.

I'd say botting is worth it, to me i gain more enjoyment from that alone, i barely play wow any more.
You shove your own profile on and see it make thousands of proffit, you cant help but think it was worth it.

Oh I'm sure its far far less than 5% unless HB/GB has something like 50k accounts and that's only .4%. I would guess there are no more than 10-50 botters per server at most. This would probably put the population more like 0.05% on a good day.

Yeah i really want to make my own profiles but i can't due to school etc. even though i'm not doing as good as i should be lol

You might just be unlucky. I'm sure a lot of others have had the same issues as well, or would think so. I've only had 2 accounts accounts banned and that was in BC. 16 80s and counting with no issues since xpac release.

Do you have a static IP?
Do you bot in multiple locations?
Have you been creating accounts with the same name?

I'm not sure what could be the issue specific to your bans.
 
Perhaps it's because your trying to sell gold?

Gaining for personal use is much, much safer.
