Hit the minus sign on the left of the screen until it zooms outthen you can move the cursor anywhere in the world. When you decide on a good location, left click your mouse. This will save that location as your current position. You can also do this to find your home area.

scroll the map to where you want and click you will see the pokeball move to where you want it to be and hit start
