I got LCP banned - which bots are safe atm?

As the title says I got LCP banned. Well - I got banned 4 days after botting using the same setup that I used to bot on for months so I assumed it was LCP based.

I've been hesitant to even BG bot out of paranoia.. So I come to you to ask which bots you feel are safe atm? What setups do you run to feel safer? I'm not after your scripts or your secret gold making formulas so don't feel like you have to divulge too much :)

Personally, I stay away from BGBuddy, Quest Bot, and anything that fully automates my character. I use Tyrael mostly, and pick a routine, and do all movement myself. Sometimes I'll use Archaeology Buddy when I have nothing else to do, for a short period of time to make some gold, but other than that that's pretty much all I use.
 
havn't renewed my gametime for like, 3 months now :) (i'm feeling the hunger to play!)
but what i USED to do, was to basically run pickpocket scripts (on each side A/H since it's "pure" gold, i didn't have to spend time selling mats and what not..)
then i'd have about 3-5 bots using GB2, mail all mats to a 5 euro battlechest (or w/e they cost now..) run that 10 hours a day (estimated) using the AH function.. and then make that one put in the gold to my GB, which my "legit" acc was the GM of.
the GB2 acc's and the "vanilla" acc - i knew i'd lose at some point, so i just played them out 24/7 (using GB2).
and ofc. its diffrent from realm to realm, so i farmed basically all herbs/ores (MOP) and then i'd use 1-2 acc's for Northrend farming :)
since people cba. to go farm for the cobalt and saronite ore, it is worth it on the server i play/played on ^^

Accs;
SoR - i've ONLY had good experiences with them, might be because im on EU. They earn themself in, in a day or two.
1* Battlechest, for AHBuddy
1* "Legit" acc

for my "legit" acc, which i don't really wanna lose due to what i have on it (both spectrals, ashes, battletank.. titles.. etc ;) ) i manually played that acc, (mainly for pve).
towards "the end" of my gametime, i didn't really care that much :D so i used PR2 (with Tyrael's) and raided while using the bot.

TL;DR
PvE ; on my main acc (rarely)
PvP ; No, i don't fancy pvp... so that would be stupid :P
GB2; Yes
Quest bot ; not really..
Arch buddy ; only to get my raptor and battletank
Grind; I'd use SoR accs for the GB2, so yes - from 80-90 i'd grind.. aka. 4 days or something like that.
rest; No. (don't think so atleast)..

BGBuddy some hours / day is no problem here. for years.
Arch buddy even 10+ hours no prob
never used gb2 much, only once or twice to lvl a gathering profession. i sometimes use archbuddy and make him collect plants/ore on the way.
questing almost 24/7, no problems at all. i know my stuckspots, and i know when there wont be a stuck and i can go out for some hours.

professionbuddy never really catched my attention
grindbuddy i used a TOTAL in my botlife-span of <10 hours, practically never.
tyrael whenever i'm doing stuff like lfr or raiding
dungeonbuddy never. ever.
 
I've been using all bot bases with no issues for a while now, never been banned using HB.

Mind you i'm usually at my computer when doing it so i can see if it starts acting funny. Dual screens FTW
 
Ok - so no one has changed what they are doing in light of the LCP bans? I'm starting to think that short bursts of semi monitored botting might be the way forward...
 
Leveling using kicks, mix in a few extra quests or dungeons here and there, never had an issue.
 
I only use Questing and Archeology and can say they are Pretty safe just used GB2 on one account and got it after 6hours permbanned by lcp with rndbuddy ... so nothing is safe just use it with breaks and not to long and babysit your bot ! It could get stuck and you get reported.
 
oh, and an addition to my prior post:

"no bot is safe"

if you bot, you will get banned.

I suggest trying out Cava's leveling plugin, it works flawless!

Have you used any other bot? Did you bot 6 hours straight, in the same area? How much did you bot daily? You can't possibly come to a conclusion you got a ban only after botting 6 hours, there are tons of contributing factors you failed to mention.
 
Running 3 bots with GB2 for 4 months now no problem, just keep your self up to date about plugins. I use randomebuddy to avoid LCP and iv used it sens it came out no bans and i love it. Tho i keep my login and playtime randomly and sometimes i lvl a new character but 80% is farming on my farming accounts.

I've been using gb+randombuddy for 8 hours a day, split into smaller blocks. I've got banned in less then a week. Seems you got better luck
 
it must have been a manual report, you only used gb2?

Bad luck or flagged maybe I mean honestly I haven't botted in a while but I can't remember it was such a high banrate with randombuddy 8 hours isn't little but shoulden't get you banned so quikly I think.

Hard to tell I guess but yeah banrates gone up but I still think with the ammount of people using randombuddy u been less lucky then others not sure why.
 
Hi, what is LCP and what is Randombuddy? Also I read in another thread that we should not be using 'public profiles' for farming. What does this mean; like the ones we D/L from here? If so, which should we be using?

Well me and alot of other people think blizzard tracks routes so called triggering mechanism that's causing bans called LCP detection.

Basically you fly a route of 1 hour or 10 hours a week long eventually you will cross the same points thing is with randombuddy you should not cross the same points and blizzard may have a system that tracks these points you fly by and for example if you fly by the same ones 100x a day automatically banning you, randombuddy creates a new randomroute every 10 minutes or so depends on your settings and that means it will not likely trigger the automated ban however it is not certain there is a system like this in place but it is highly likeable but you'd have to ask blizzard unfortunately we don't know for sure.

You can still get banned using it but it seems that it helps however it will likely reduce the ammount of nodes farmed and ofcourse therefor profit.
