Common sense, ive got a new appreciation for the phrase. This goes for devs and customers alike. The "alpha" excuse is comical and misguided/ing.
I dont mean to sound patronizing but c'mon, its not in alpha - not even CLOSE. As developers you should know this. I mean perhaps your basing your reply on the potential ignorance of the recipient of such, or your using it as a tongue in cheek/catch all?
Again, I get that you have 100 things pulling you in 101 directions and the easy and efficient way to do things is to put off windows 10 support since you can use the "its not out" excuse. Nobody is bitter due to that. Do i want to run 10 now? You bet! I wont though because i know it has issues attaching and this is more important to me.
That being said, men, women, and children... Windows 10 isnt an alpha. Theyre about to release the consumer preview. Its a fully viable operating system currently and its going to be hitting the market during the middle of 2015. Loooooooong past alpha and definately not a developer build lol.
Very very far into beta at worst.
Semantics sure. Misinformation on the internet is one of my pet peeves and as ironic as it is, i spend a lot of my time in the wow community. Imagine my daily frustrations
In the end - my post has little point. Rantings of someone waiting for his updates to finish and determining whether or not to upgrade his backup pc to 10 or not.
I wont because of trouble attaching. While im sure the devs know of a solution, they'd rather ignore it.. and while some people have found a work around.. i saw it once a month or better ago and havent been able to find it since.
Rest assured for those of you who want to use windows 10, its very much a complete OS, its very stable, and theyre adding to it regularly with the intent of taking Technical Preview users and upgrading them all the way to release (if thats your thing).
To anyone else reading, if you know the work around of which i speak - or have found one of your own... do share
