Hey everyone,

It’s my first time botting at PoE and am fairly new to the game in general. I have dug through and read a few old posts and advice that others have given about account security when transferring items from bot to main accounts. However the topics are relatively old and they are few and far in between.

How does everyone usually share their bot’s wealth with their main?
They say to not trade items but to drop them instead. Not sure if there’s been a change to that or if it’s been proven to be safer.

What are some precautions I can take to bot safely without compromising my accounts?
I use sandboxie, but have read mixed reviews about it.

I understand there’s always a risk no matter what. But it’s better to be safe than sorry. I know know what to do in case I do get banned (knock on wood!), but know very little in preventative precautions and safely transferring items between accounts.

Thanks guys!

I didn’t know it was such a taboo. Where can I newcomer like me learn then, if not here?

Well by trial and error.
Get banned -> change method -> get banned -> learn -> change method =)

Most people here bot for cash and profit. It'd be silly to reveil those infos for everyone.

Makes sense. I just figured there are a set of common-sense obvious precautions that’s out there that’ll help those that are new to this— at the very least, stuff that’s already proven to flag you as a botter.

botted for 3 years now. i have my main in the guild with my alt, using the guild stash and use a vpn on the alt. But i also spend real money with ggg and structure my playtime to be somewhat human looking. But maybe I'm lucky who knows
