Hi guys, a friend and i tried doing some testing, on how to see if your flagged for botting, or any other kind of cheat.

So we got around 25 diablo games, that we bot with, mostly useing IB, 4 of them we use to test diffrent exploits and hacks, " accs that can be sparred to be lost " one day we ran into something funny, and decidet to keep a watch on it.

on 2 of our accs, we saw when we went to our diablo folder, it said in our log cheat was enabled, at first we laught a bit at it, but after sometime we got to find those 2 accs banned,

they both had the cheat enabled stated in the document of our lunch profile, unlike all our regular bots running with IB, it says cheat disabled, we have a theory this can be a warning to detect if your flagged, but then again it could had been pure luck, it was those 2 accs where it said cheat enabled that got banned, just very unlikely since the others was safe.

but here is how we found it.

- how to check -

1: go to your D3 folder, find the text document called " D3Debug.text " if you open this file, and look around 4th line, it should say cheat disabled, or cheat enabled.

as said the 2 accs we had showing cheat enabled has been banned, but the remaining accs where it says cheat disabled are still running mostly 15-20 hours a day.

Well, mine does say "Cheats: Disabled" so, kulle story bro xD Actually keeping track of this for a while could be interesting, if anyone actually gets a "Cheats: Enabled" then gets banned 2 days later that would be pretty cool.

it would be funny if it were that easy
see it enabled, lay low for a week and get going again :P

Well, if someone has a trial key. It shouldnt be that hard to test it?

it seems the file is updated every minute your client is running(check the timestamp). heres an idea: change the file to read only so its always DISABLED :D wonder if blizzard gets access to our debug file i.e. its sent to them periodically, or what?

read only = cheat.

that file also shows how fast you create and end a game, so lets hope they don't "log" that on their end ::rolls eyes::

You realize this means nothing right ? Why do you think when the game crashes it asks to send the debug report ? It really wouldn't matter if it was in the TOS or EULA to send the file to blizzard its an invasion of privacy and that's exactly why they ask you to send it and not just take it.

With developer builds you could enable cheats for testing purposes, I imagine that's all that this is.

I think it would be more interesting to create an app that Keeps readint the TXT file.. And when it finds it ENABLED, PLays a loud sound, so you atleast know when u are caught.

Wait, I'm sort of confused, isn't that file related to your d3 installation and not to a specific character? What if you change around which characters you have logged into each installation?

What happens if you go to a net cafe, change the file to enabled and read only/

Just to play the devil's advocate, why on earth would blizzard keep that info client-side at all? There is not a reason in the world that I can think of, it simply doesn't make sense. I am extremely skeptical of the validity of this.

Bliz is stupid enough to run the whole AH system off of your computer time, I'd believe just about anything after something that moronic.
